Congrats Mr.X, you got Digimon right (ITV1 a few years back), and a big pat on the back goes to Mr. B. Pie for getting the two extra ones!
I couldn't remember if Flint the Time Detective (BBC2 mornings a year or two back) was called Flint, Clint, or Quint, and I could remember if Monster Rancher (BBC1+2 , also a few years back) was called Monster Hunter/Monster Tamer.
P.S. Just remembered another one, it was dubbed and computer animated, and was on not so long ago...

Flint the Time Detective reminded me of the Kangaskhan Kid from that early episode of Pokemon... That episode was screwy... what the hell was wrong with Tommo's father? That episode was not just screwy: it was without a doubt the worst episode of Pokémon ever made, unless they have made a worse one since I stopped watching (not intentionally), which is very unlikely. And you're right, what the hell was wrong with the kid's father? Why did he rip-off his shirt? And why didn't the Safari Zone Warden help the parents find their son right after he was lost? Did he shoot at them before they could ask him? And while we're on the subject of Pokémon rip-offs and robot anime, isn't Robopon, or Robomon or whatever its name is on your list, nintyboyuno? |

Once, on a message board where the subject being disscussed was Pokémon rip-offs and monster-catching anime, besides Digimon, Beyblade, Monster Rancher and others being brought up, some people commented on something named Robomon or something similar (which presumably has to do with robots), which I have never seen, nor intend to do so. I'm surprised no one knows it. It sounded like it was somewhat popular due to the way those guys were talking about it. I swear I'm not making this up. By the way, I have no idea what is the anime no one has brought up yet. I think someone has already mentioned Dragon Ball Z. |

I believe what you're thinking of is called Robopon. I've never heard of there being an anime for it, but it was a series of GBC/GBA games that blatantly ripped off Pokemon, except with robots.

I believe what you're thinking of is called Robopon. I've never heard of there being an anime for it, but it was a series of GBC/GBA games that blatantly ripped off Pokemon, except with robots. I'm almost certain that it was what you're talking about. The main topic being discussed that day on that message board was Pokémon rip-offs in general form, not just in anime. I just assumed it was a monster-catching anime instead of a game because of most of the other rip-offs coming in anime form. |

Not Medabots, not Zoids, not Dragon Ball Z, it starts with the letter Z, and has robots in it, and is computer animated, and it was recently on Channel Five but not anymore.
