Even though I'm past 300, am I still considered a n00b? Yes As a great man once said "leik you can leik train a n00b, but he'll be just be a trained n00b leik he really won't be a pro leik me. And he might do leik OK against other n00bs and stuff, but if you want to be leik uber pro leik me leik you just kinda you gatta kind of leik something different it's leik in ur head, leik in ur eyes and stuff, leik you can see it right leik it's really. What are the requirements to NOT be a n00b? Although I think it may be a feat of being here a certain amount of time... I dunno. It doesn't matter if your a n00b or not, it just matters that your not, leik, totally a spammer, leik. |

^ Well, if you mean "n00b" in the "newbie" sense (that is, "new to the group"), then time is the only remedy for that.
If you mean "n00b" in a derogatory sense for someone who is immature and/or not familiar with the social conventions of online communication (such as netiquette), then, well, it helps to be mature. It also takes time to learn the nuances of individual communities, such as what is considered polite or rude behavior. This can also take patience (from both sides). So, getting past that kind of "n00bness" is more of a learning process.

The posting system doesn't say 'look at me im better than you becuase I have more posts' its not really a competition. It just means your an established member of the forum. The quality of the post counts more than the quantity of posts you have. Thats why people hate spammers, just pointless threads/posts. The idea of a forum is the chat about the topic in question.
