Talk about your favourite and least favourite series!
I like Smash Bros series the best, then, counting those I've played only,
2, Mario Kart series
3, Kirby series

least, Pokemon RPG series

5) Balloon Fight/Kid

My favourite series is Super Mario, no contest. I still get excited about new Mario games, and I play them thoroughly. I know most of them inside-out and love them just as much.
My least favourite is probably... err... Kirby. I like it, but they're way overrated, and either too easy or boring.

Well as far as Nintendo goes, they're all pretty good.
But 'what is a series?' is the real question.
Does the NES Sport series count? If so that's my least favorite. Golf and Baseball were just HORRID, easily the worst games Nintendo ever released.
As for best series, that really varies on my mood, which is what I base the game selection I play on.
Sometimes it's all about Mario games.
Last weekend I was craving tons of Pokémon.
Etc.
Let me start out with the good series'
Mario (including spinoffs)
The Legend of Zelda
Pokémon (including spinoffs)
Metroid
Kirby
Donkey Kong / Country / Land (I really need the Land ones)
Wario Ware (I only played one game in it, but I KNOW they're all good, and I will play them all)
etc
Then there's games that I wouldn't consider a series/only played one game in.
Pikmin
Fire Emblem
Star Fox (I liked 64, but not Adventures)
But in the end, depending on your definition of 'series' my least favorite is the NES Sport series, and favorites were listed above.

My least favorite would have to be F-Zero. I don't think anything is wrong with the games. I just suck at it.

After much thought, and a civil war in the privacy of my own head, I have to put the top three in this order:
1) Zelda
2) Mario (very close)
3) Starfox

Well, it changes depending on my moods... at the moment I'd say...
5) Kirby
4) StarFox
3) Legend of Zelda
2) Super Mario
1) Pokémon
If I was in a different mood F-Zero, EarthBound and Donkey Kong might have been on that list too... and I'm counting Wario Ware games along with the Super Mario ones.
I'd say my least favourite is probably Fire Emblem, simply because I know very little about it.

Well...
Number one on my list is the Super Mario Bros. series - but by that, I mean the core story-based games - the Super Mario platformers (the REAL Mario games), the RPGs, and Luigi's installment (he's a Mario Brother) - THESE are the Mario games.
When you bring spin-offs in, then we're talking a whole different language. I'm not into those. The Wario series doesn't impress me that much (it's good, but it's not Mario, it's... well... Wario - although I consider Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 a Mario game, cos it plays like one and is titled as such).
And Yoshi, I'm undecided on.
Zelda is the other great franchise - that's because it's damn awesome!
Nuff said.
I also like Pikmin - there are only 2, but there will be 3... and then what???
Least favourite? Mario-verse spin-offs... they usually lack depth. Although, Mario Kart is a lot of fun!
I also dislike RPGs - the Mario-related ones are very different to the traditional ones - I don't like the fantasy-type RPGs (but Earthbound is good - but it's not fantasy, so it wasn't included anyway).

Mario Party is certainly towards the bottom of my list...
The Wario Land games are among my favourite games ever made. They may just be a platform game series with a puzzle element, but they're just short of the fantastic Yoshi's Island (still the best game ever made). Wario Land 1 was a stepping stone... though I felt Wario Land 4 was a step backwards, and I didn't enjoy it quite as much.
Wario Land 2 remains the only game I've ever used the Nintendo helpline for.

Righty-oh then...
I've played Wario Land 2 and 3 quite recently, and they're odd games.
The invincibility idea sounds cool at first, but then I find it a bit of a hassel. Also, Wario just can't run and jump like Mario can, making his games seem slower in pace.
I'm not brushing the series off - they are good - just not what I personally am after.
As for Tetris... that game... is SO good! ;D
And the music in that is the best - that cool Russian tune.
