I just got back from going to garage sales. First I found a Virtual Boy with it's box and instructions, Mario Tennis, Mario Clash, Wario Land, and Galactic Pinball. All the games had box and books, except for Mario Tennis which didn't have a box(Did it even have a box since it came with the VB?). All of that for $10. And it works great! Next I found a Super Scope(with box and Super Scope 6, but no instructions) for $7. I haven't got a chance to try it out though. It didn't have batteries for it and the VB.
I love my new Virtual Boy.

Bah, you lucky git. I bet if that seller knew how much they could have got for all that on ebay they would be kicking themselves so hard I found a Super Scope at a carboot sale the other day, but it didn't have the receiver... so I left it.

WHAT!?!?!? Virtual Boy with all these games, $10? ? And $7 for Super Scope... Whoa.... Over here VB is not avalible, and a SFC/SNES game sells as expensive as the newest GC game.

That's the beauty of garage sales/car boot fairs. Nobody quite knows how much anything is worth and you can bag a bargain. If I was slightly more on-the-case I could have gotten a handful of NES games, including Zelda II, for £5 at the last boot fair I was at. Zelda II still sells in shops for around £15. But nooo... someone got there before me. And someone ran off with (as in, they bought) the boxed Super NES with Mario All-Stars set before we'd even finished setting up. But someone did buy Final Fantasy 7-9 and Buck Bumble from me for £10. Finding someone with too much clutter is the best way to make a bargain in countries with too much disposable income. Not that I'd let my collection go for any less than £1000

speaking of VB games, it says that 3D tetris is V-tetris in Japan. But if im not mistaking V-tetris is a different game.

Well, the Super Scope doesn't work. Looks like the old batteries were in there for to long. =( I really like the Virtual Boy. I player Wario Land until the batteries died.

Ooh, if you're going to play through VB Wario Land, remember to check for Kazumi Totaka's song after you beat it.

Garage sales, huh? Hmmm...
Maybe I should start checking these out?
Thanks for the idea (and sice nobody here seems to be from Sydney, Australia, I won't be competing for good buys with anyone here! ;D).

I can never find anything worth buying at garage sales. It's usually just old clothes and Little Tykes toys that should be banned for child endangerment. But flea markets and computer shows always have those large game tables where I can get the classic games.
