Now before you read the first chapter of my Metroid story you must know a little bit of the Metroid history. I would read the Classic NES Series: Metroid Manual for the GBA or the Metroid Prime manual before reading this, but if do know everything about Metroid, start reading!
The year is 2X10. Evil spreads around the universe. It has been two years after Samus' mission on Tallon IV and unfortunately, the Space Pirates are still on the loose and a major threat. The Galatic Federation - which has been around for over 9 centuries - was established to bring and to keep peace with other galaxies and space systems. Everyone thought that total peace had been achived; but not anymore. The Galatic Federation - in all its history - has never seen any other threats nor races like the Space Pirates.
Every earth month, the Galatic Federation will have a "Galatic Meeting". Thounsands of races: humans, humanoids, and aliens would meet under a huge, mile-long, dome-like structure where they would discuss about any trouble and strugles happening in the universe. Eventually, a "High Priority Alert Meeting" would take place. These meetings would take place only if a disaster has just happened or a trouble brewing which would lead to a war. Unfortunately, these "HPAMs" where taking place almost once a week, due to the devilish work the Space Pirates where committing.
On 05.25.05.2X10, yet another HPAM had commence. As the meeting slowly began, a human senator got up and began his opening arguement. "Good afternoon. 50 hours ago, the U.S.S. Arturus lost its coordinates and were tempoarary lost in space. However, while lost they spotted a Space Pirate Freighter located 0.4 lightyears near Pluto. Fortunately, the Space Pirate Freighter did not spot the Arturus and amazingly, the Arturus - along with its crew - made it back to Earth safe and sound. Fellow senators, never before has the Space Pirates gotten this close to Earth! Never before have I feared for my home planet! Never before have I feared for our galaxy! Fellow senators, once the Space Pirates destroy Earth, the whole Galatic Federation will collapse!! I can no longer go against the odds! If we do not take action now, we will face death!".
As soon as the senator's voice echoed around the huge circular room, all the other senators around the room began babbling. "Order!" said the Federation majority leader, "Let the record state the statement Sentor Bael V. Momtor had just spoken." replied the Federation majority leader. "Unfortunately, I agree with Senator Momtor, majority leader" said an alien senator in a sqiushy voice. "Me too!" said another alien. "And me!" arosed a humanoid. Moments later, the entire building was shaking from the ear-splitting babbling. "ORDER, ORDER! If any of you do not quiet down, I shall have to clear the federation!" yelled the majority leader. "Senator Momtor, since you started this ruckus, what do you think should be in order?" questioned the majority leader. "Majority leader, I think the Galatic Federation should have - at all times - a galatic army." said the rather fat Senator Momtor. "What!" said the majority leader. "We cannot have an army! If we have an army, people will suspect things thus leading to a rebellion!" replied the majority leader. "Then bring back that bounty hunter...uh...Seamus Acran." said a old alien senator with a wierd accent. "Samus Aran, you mean?" said the majority leader. "We do not need that Samus Aran, majority leader!" yelled Senator Momtor. "Why?" replied majority leader. "I don't trust her. She is bathed in mystery. Who knows, maybe she's working for the Space Pirates working on a plan to destroy the Galatic Federa..." "Senator Momtor, please stop your perpetual moaning. She destroyed the Space Pirates' secret hideouts on Zebes and on Tallon IV. And if she is willing, we will send her to rid of the Space Pirates near Pluto." "But, Majority Leader..." "Senator Momtor, you know perfectly well that one-fourth of the Federation senators and I are from Earth. If I trust Samus, the whole Galatic Federation will trust Samus. However, for her aid, I will send several more bounty hunters on patrol. And in the unlikely event that Ms. Aran ever fails to complete her duty, one of the bounty hunters on patrol would replace her. Let us hope that day would never come." The majority leader then stood up. "This HPAM is adjourned." said majority leader. Everyone gladly stood up and began to exit the dome. As everyone was leaving Senator Momtor was still sitting in his chair clearly thinking about the fate of his home.
Tell me what you think about it!
I'll start writing the second chapter soon. In the next chapter, if you're a fan of Metroid, you'll find some inside stuff that I sneaked into the story!

Hmm... nice. I didn't know Metroid was set in this universe, though, so I didn't think it had anything to do with Earth, Pluto, etc. If you say it does, then I beleive you, but I've never seen any mention of it.
Also... 05.25.05.2X10 seems to be a real screwy date. Was that an accident, or are the extra digits there for a reason?
Anyway, good stuff.

I don't think Metroid was set in this galaxy...but I decided to use Earth because people will have hard time remembering the names of the Metroid planets. For example, who can remember the name of the planet where Metroids originally came from?
As for the date, that was done on purpose. If you look on the log dates for the Pirate Lore in your logbook in Metroid Prime you can see several more digits than the normal 6-digit dating system we have. I decided to use that for my story. Basically, 05 stands for May, 25 stands for the 25th day, .05 stands for the time of day - as in this case the afternoon - because the middle of the day is in the afternoon. So, .05 day must mean afternoon. And, of coruse, 2X05 meaning the year 2X05.
Now for your enjoyment, just completed, the second chapter of my Metroid Fan story!
Good morning, Samus... She opened her eyes. "Good morning, ADAM." replied Samus. Samus' voice was, of coruse, feminine, but it had a demanding quality to it. ADAM's voice was digitized but, yet, inviting. ADAM - Samus' spaceship computer - handled everything from autopilot to receiving contracts for bounties. Without ADAM, Samus wouldn't been one of the best bounty hunters in the world. Samus walked over from her bedroom to the cockpit. She looked out and saw the vastness of space. Man wouldn't stop being amazed by the sights in space. She slowly scaned the black sky and came upon a familar sight. To the right was the Tallon system, where on Tallon IV she was trained to be a warrior by the mysterious Chrozo race. Her whole childhood was spent on that planet - now a wasteland. Quietly, she shead a tear. The teardrop slowly ran from her cheek and fell onto the cold metal dashboard. Samus?...Is there anything wrong?... Realizing that she was crying, she quickly said, "No." She took a deep breath and sat down on the captain's seat. She grabbed a keyboard and began typing:
DATA BOX CHECK REQUEST
The screen flashed the words:
PASSWORD PLEASE
Samus typed:
NAR_1986_YOKOI-NINT
The screen went black for a moment and finally popped up Samus' mailbox:
DATA BOX - SAMUS ARAN V 10.199.7
{GALATIC FEDERATION-BOUNTY CONTRACT}
Samus quickly clicked on the hyperlink. In the data letter it stated:
GALACTIC FEDERATION
DEAR MS. ARAN,
WE HAVE SPOTTED A SPACE PIRATE FREIGHTER ON ABOUT 120690.723 DEGREES NORTH AND 909395.5158 DEGREES WEST. WE BELIEVE THAT THE FREIGHTER IS PLANNING TO HEAD FOR EARTH. WE HAVE ALSO SENT 4 OTHER BOUNTY HUNTERS TO HELP YOU ON DESTROYING THE FREIGHTER. THIS MISSION IS TOP PRIORITY. IF YOU ACCEPT AND FULFILLED THIS MISSION, WE WILL REWARD YOU 10.612 MILLION GALATIC TENDER BILLS. THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK.
YUO MIKAO GALACTIC FEDERATION MAJORITY LEADER
{ACCEPT} {DECLINE}
Samus clicked on ACCEPT and the words came up:
THANK YOU. GOOD LUCK, MS. ARAN.
Samus' computer shuted down. She quickly went back to her bedroom and said, "ADAM, prepare for flash-warp engine start-up!". Yes, Samus... The dashboard lit up and the engines began to rumble. A moment later, Samus came out of her bedroom wearing her signature power suit. She once again sat down in the captain's chair and slowly put on her helmet. As steam blew and locks click as Samus locked on her helmet, she realized that other bounty hunters were going to be with her. Why would the Galactic Federation do this? Didn't they trust her? Unfortunately, this was not the time to ask questions. Flash-warp engines fully booted up and charged, Samus... "Good." went Samus' helmet which altered her voice drasticly. She slammed her fist on a giant red-blinking button and the dashboard beeped. The engines' screams and roars grew louder and louder and only within a moment, they were gone.
Thanks for reading!

For example, who can remember the name of the planet where Metroids originally came from? As for the date, that was done on purpose. SR388, wasn't it? But I had to do something to do with Metroid last week so I read all the wikipedia articles on it, so right now I know alot of info about it. I'll forget that soon, though. I thought the date might have been on purpose, but never relaised it connected with Prime. Cool. EDIT: Once again, nice. May I make one suggestion, though? Change NAR_1986_YOKOI-NINT To JUSTIN BAILEY [space][space][space][space][space][space] [space][space][space][space][space][space]. Come on, you know you want to.

It looks good, but didn't Samus get ADAM in Metroid Fusion, which would happen after Metroid Prime?
Oh, and I knew the name of the Metroid home planet, too.

Hey, my stories don't have to be completely accurate.
I think Samus would get very lonely up in her spaceship so ADAM is in there. Besides, no one has ever been in her spaceship, so who knows what was in there before.

Just completed, the third chapter of IceMaster's Metroid Fan Story!!!
Current speed: 120,610.122995 paraframes... Samus nodded. She checked to see the engine heat. She simply pressed a button on the glowing dashboard and on the screen she read:
CURRENT ENGINE TEMP.: 19235.6 DEGREES
Fortunately, that is very cool for the IKON-K Skyrunner Model-X engines. Samus heavily customized her ship from ADAM to the flash-warp drive to the custom mixture orange paint. It was true; Samus was very proud of her spaceship. Samus, we are now approching Fawill VI... "Thank you, ADAM." said Samus. Starting flash-warp reboot... The engines began to grow quiet and after a moment the regular engines resumed thrust. Samus looked up at the cockpit widow and saw a big sheet of steel covering the main window. She forgot the open the blast-shield. The blast-shield was mandatory for any spaceship because during flash-warp, the speed you are moving creates a blinding light from the friction. "Open the blast-shield, ADAM." she said. Acknowledged... Loud clapping and banging came from the outside and after the blast-shield was removed, Samus could see the moon, Fawill VI. Fawill VI was known as a haven for bounty hunters because of the moon's almost-unlimted supply of ship fuel and weapon ammo. Samus was low on ammo for her missle supply and of course, flash-warp always made any ship low on fuel. "Begin descent stages." said Samus. Acknowledged... "Entering atmosphere." she said. A red hue came upon the cockpit window. As she looked up at the window, she had a feeling that something was wrong. As the rocky yellow surface approched, Samus began taking manual controls. "We're coming in too fast!" she yelled. She grabbed the analog control handle and pulled it up as hard as possible. It still wasn't enough. Samus scrambed for a button on the dashboard. Then, it came to her. "Power up anit-gravity magnets, ADAM!" said Samus. Acknowledged... Little by little the anti-gravity magnets powered up, but it was too late. "Prepare crash scenario!!" she screamed. Crash scenario engaged... On the ship's exterior the huge airbags popped from panels up front. This whole time Samus was looking at the computer screen and dashboard. She almost didn't see what was coming. She finally lifted her head and braced herself. A gigantic building - almost like a castle - was yards away from Samus' ship. CRASH! The lights went out...a loud scraping sound came from the bottom of the ship. The ship was still moving. Samus looked up at the window and saw rubble smashing into the glass. Again she braced herself. Finally, the momentum stopped. Emergency systems booted... Lights from the dashboard lit up the cockpit, giving the interior an eerie look. "This doesn't mean I'm not getting my supplies." Samus noted, as she got up. She walked to the back of the ship and stepped into a tube. The tube's opening - which was shaped exactly like Samus' power suit - slammed shut and Samus was elevated via platform. She looked up as circular doors above her head unlocked and quickly open for her. Finally, the last portal door opened and vast foggy steam blew upon Samus' visor. The elevating platform stopped and Samus' visor finally cleared. All she could see was pitch black darkness. She looked at her arm cannon and a digital pad flipped from the side of the cannon. She hit a button and immediately lights lit up from her helmet. The dark room lit up and now she now knew where she was. It was The Bountiful Bar - a drinking bar room for bounty hunters and in some cases, the bounty. This was the same spot where Geomey Juan - the famous bounty hunter - caught the infamous bounty, In-Got Fuheltit, an alien wanted in 9 solar sytems. Juan won over 8 trillion galatic tender bills for that bounty. But this fun bar room - where countless hunters enjoyed each others company - looked like a tornado blew through here. Samus slowly turned her head and saw that other areas of the castle-like building were reduced to rubble. Samus quietly jumped off her ship with her Space Boots and landed on a squishy surface. Samus looked down and saw her feet on a life-less body of a humanoid bounty hunter. She quickly hopped off the body and began inspecting for clues on what happened to the bar. She walked over to the bar - which was in another room - and noticed that upon entering it, it was completely destroyed. Nothing remained except for rubble and a couple of bodies. "Poor souls..." Samus said quietly. Samus walked back into the main hallway and switched her combat visor into scan visor. One by one she scaned the countless bodies...
LIFE-FORM: HUMANOID SEX: MALE STATUS: DEAD TIME OF DEATH: 3 HOURS AGO
Samus realized that most of the bodies passed away 3 hours ago. "This wasn't a bar room fight; this was a battle." she spoke to herself. As she slowly walked into the darkness, dust particles would fall onto her visor as she would scan random bodies. Samus then scaned a body 40-feet away. The body's data on the scan visor read:
LIFE-FORM: HUMAN SEX: MALE STATUS: CRITICAL CONDITION
Samus realizing that she had a survivor ran over to the man. The man was in a blue-tinted metal suit - similar to Samus' but different in color and style - with an electro-blade stuck in his gut. The man wore a helmet and his visor was smashed. Inside the helmet Samus could see two eyes, both closed. Samus nealt before him and began to slowly take off his helmet. Once the helmet was off, Samus spoke to him. "Hey, are you alright?" she said. She repeated herself. Slowly his eyes opened and he spoke. "No. Get this blade out of me." he said. Samus spoke as she slowly try to remove the 1-foot blade out of him. "I can't get it out" she said. Samus' suit was built for combat, not for surgery. Looking at her right hand which was replaced by the power suit's arm cannon. "I can't get grab it with only one hand." she amitted. She looked up from the man's stomach and noticed all of the bodies on the floor. "Who did this?" she said as she stood up. "They came out of nowhere...they pulled out their blasters and blades...they...they...uhhh...the pain's unbareable." the man moaned. Samus switched her visor to the thermal visor to see if she could see anymore survivors. There were no bodies giving off heat acoording to the visor. However, Samus noticed some machine giving off heat in one of the rooms 30-feet away. "I'll be back." she said to the man. She walked over to see what the machine was. She never even saw the laser beam on the floor. Her foot passed the beam and suddenly, giant holographic lights came from the walls and a loud alarm came from the room she wanted to inspect. She scaned the machine and the scan visor data read:
OBJECT: Space Pirate Alp-7539 m-Bomb This deadly bomb can have the power to destroy half of a planet. Detonation: 15 seconds...
Samus ran over to the man and quickly picked him up. "AHHH!" the man screamed due to the pain. Samus quickly double-jumped to her ship and entered into the tube. Once, in her ship she layed the man on the medical table and jumped over to the dashboard. Samus grabbed the analog control handle and pushed the fire button. Two giant beams of lasers crashed into the other side of the castle making a hole in the wall. Samus grabbed the speed switch and pushed it forward. The ship immediately thrusted forward and zoomed towards the hole. "This is going to be tight!" she yelled. The ship went through with only millmeters apart from the hole. Samus pulled on the analog stick and the ship began to gain height. "We're not out of the clear yet." she said. One hundred paraframes to space... "That not enough time!" she yelled. Samus's scan visor was still displaying the time left for the detonation:
3 seconds...
2 seconds...
1 second...
Detonation...
A loud boom came from the back of the ship and soon parts of Fawill VI came entering out of the atmosphere. Samus could see them from the side of the cockpit window. "There goes my missle supply..." remarked Samus.
Samus told ADAM to fly the ship for her while she worked on the male bounty hunter. She went into her bedroom and changed from her power suit to her medical suit. The medical suit contained a scan visor on medical knowledge, no arm cannon whatsoever, and no helmet. As soon as she walked out, the man was very surprised. "You're a woman? Wh...wha...wen...who are you?" asked the man. Before Samus could answer, he answered himself. "You're Samus Aran!" he exclaimed. "I thought I never get a chance to meet you." he added. Samus blushed. "Are you a doctor?" the man asked. "No. But I know what I am doing." she answered. "Good luck." he said, trying to be funny. Samus began to put the gas mask on him when it hit her. "You never even introduced youself." she noted. "Oh yeah. Justin Bailey, is my name." he answered. As Samus began work, she was thinking, 'Justin Bailey; that's a cute name.'.

You were nice enough to comment on my fan fic, so I'll comment on yours. Just a technical note: you need to start a new paragraph (or maybe, in this case, just a new line) whenever the next character begins speaking. It'll make it easier to follow conversations. Other than that, I can't complain.
