8bitretrogloopy: Locked in6. Yoshi's Island 2 [SNES] You did mean Yoshi's Island 1 here, and not the DS game, right? No problems here. Just wanted to say, " Pizza Power!" ;D Also, maybe I should clarify a few things for everyone, even if it's a little late now. In general, I try to follow the "one game package per slot" rule, but there's no sense in counting the NES and GBA versions of Super Mario Bros. separately. It can be a little tricky for me to decide what games should be grouped together. Sometimes, the difference between "enhanced port" and "remake" is a little thin. Then you've got localization issues like Ouendan and Elite Beat Agents. But with things like the Pokemon series, there's no reason why Red/Blue/Yellow should be counted separately. So I just make it a personal judgment as to what should be grouped together, or whether a game is significantly different enough to be considered its own game. However, if any of you want to make a case for any particular situation, I'm open to hear it. Also, I'm wondering if I shouldn't allow compilations next time, or if I should handle them a different way. It's a little weird having separate votes for Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario World, and Super Mario Sll-Stars + Super Mario World. Any thoughts?

You did mean Yoshi's Island 1 here, and not the DS game, right? Yeah, SMW 2: Yoshi's Island. I always call it Yoshi's Island 2 for some reason. This. This is the best TMNT music. I guess you could tally the votes for originals and remakes together, since they're essentially the same game with a few added extra's, kinda like videocassette and DVD versions of movies. For example I'd write down #th place: SMW2:YI / Yoshi's Island DS Can't do this with compilations ofcourse, which is why I try to avoid picking those. I would count Mario Allstars and Mario Allstars + SMW together as one though. Also don't Ouendan and Elite Beat Agents have totally different songs? Wouldn't stick 'em together then.

TrustTheFungus: Locked inDry Mario: Locked inmissingno. loves his wii: Locked inConcerning remakes and ports, I wouldn't want to count the original Metroid and Zero Mission, or Resident Evil (GC) and Resident Evil: Deadly Silence as the same game. But I do consider, say, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario Advance 4 to be the same. I guess my reasoning behind it is whether or not I think some version of a game has enough unique features that it would warrant somebody voting for it specifically over other versions. But again, that would be my personal judgment call, and I'm open to any argument as to why you would want to cast a vote for one version and not another. Anyway, there are now only three days left to vote! Just in case you like to wait until the last minute...like me! 1. Super Metroid 2. Resident Evil 4 3. Yoshi’s Island 4. The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 5. Contra 4 6. Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin 7. SSX 3 8. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 9. Resident Evil 10. Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem 11. Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest 12. Super Castlevania IV 13. Mega Man Anniversary Collection 14. Tetris 15. Super Smash Bros. Brawl 16. Super Mario Bros. 3 17. Gunstar Heroes 18. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 19. Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers 20. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 21. Star Fox 22. StarTropics 23. Super Mario Bros. 24. Battletoads 25. Devil’s Crush So, at the top of my list are my obvious choices, and the closer we get to the bottom, the more "filler" there is. My selection rational was basically to select titles that represent their entire series, or in most cases, specific "eras" of those series. For instance, Twilight Princess represents the 3D Zelda games, while Link to the Past represents 2D Zelda games. (Majora's Mask was just unique and awesome enough on its own to warrant a separate inclusion.) Big surprise, Contra 4 made the list, and quite high at that. What can I say, that game really struck a cord with me. I decided to vote for the Mega Man Anniversary Collection instead of just Mega Man III because all the games are so similar, that I think it generally works better as a compilation. I voted for Sonic 3 because I can't vote for Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Perhaps I should've picked the Mega Collection, but I've never played it. Then there's Devil's Crush on the bottom. It's filler, but it's there because it's easily my most played VC game.

^ I suppose it's not too late for anyone to make minor changes, even if I've "locked in" their lists, but I have to be notified of it.
To notify me, simply fill out Form D, making sure to put a check next to "Authorized List Alteration." Then return it to the administrator's office and present two valid forms of photo ID. You'll then be given a receipt which needs to be taken upstairs for validation. Then just mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the receipt and your request, signed by a notary public, to the Offices of the NinDB Top 25. Wait six to eight weeks, and you should receive a card of approval. Fax it back to the administrator's office, and barring any mistakes, that's all there is to it. Unless you live in Canada.
Or you could just post it here.
