Wow. So Nintendo finally respond to Tingle's popularity, eh?
I think this'll be some sort of life simulation... you play as Tingle and experience the life of him.

Dude, I'm lovin "Old Man Rupee" in that scan - if anyone can make me an avatar of him, I will (...thinks...) bring them rainbows and lollipops every day (for one day only, offer not applicable in the real world).

Haha, I just replied to Flint's thread. This is excellent. TINGLE! Woot! And Nintyboy... I would like my rainbows and lollipops in their original packaging, please.

It's interesting, but am I the only one who thinks there's a significant chance that Nintendo won't bring this to America? It seems like a game where the cultural differences would be a problem.

Depends. Looks like the Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga of the Zelda world. Could swing either way.

No way. This looks like a crazy-ass Zelda Ware, Inc.: Tingle's Awesome Awesome Games XD
EDIT:
Woah, actually, it just hit me: maybe they're giving Tingle the Wario treatment? For all we know, Tingle could be the new hilarious hero spinoff title character XD

Great minds think alike, Ninty. Did this before I read the thread, though. Ah well, they're slightly different. Game of the Year, without a doubt.

Nintendo has confirmed that a new Zelda spin-off is currently in development for the Nintendo DS.
It is titled Mogitate Tingle Bara Iro Rupee Land - which translates to Fresh Tingle's Rose Coloured Rupee Land. Tingle, you may recall, appeared in both Wind Waker and Majora's Mask - but in the new game, you play as him when he aged just 35, and had yet to take on the Tingle form.
You're guided through the game by a bloke called Ropeeji ('Old Man Rupee'), who tells you to collect a load of rupees and chuck them into a magic spring. Then you'll be transported to Rupee Land and turned into Tingle.
You get a bit of help from Pingle, a fairy type who communicates with you via a TV in your house. As you explore Rupee land, you'll have to hand over cash to local inhabitants to keep them happy, and to pass through toll gates. The game is due out later this year.- www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=65422

Thanks Fry! I just need to find a big enough box for the rainbows ;D From the synopsis, it sounds a lot like that other japanese game where you have to go around helping people with problems, earning happy points (no, not Chibi-robo, I'm thinking of that one that was a japan-only Gamecube release, with a visual style like Animal Crossing). But this one sounds even better, coz its got RPG elements! Oh, and don't judge me, but I really want to meet that lady at the bottom of the page... EDIT: That must be Pingle!
