...a remote control?
I mean, isn't Sony ripping off Nintendo way more?
Gee, I hope this doesn't hurt Nintendo...

I mean, isn't Sony ripping off Nintendo way more? I hate this forum. The company will get nothing, Ninty will get around it.

If Nintendo can fend of Universal, they'll have no trouble with some guys no one's ever heard of.

Nintendo patents all of its own stuff. And that filing sounds awfully vague anyway.
Nintendo has some of the best corporate lawyers - and NoA is even RUN by a corporate lawyer. So this should be interesting.
But don't forget, even Sony and Microsoft were stung regarding the vibration feedback in their controllers by a small company. Microsoft now pays this company, and Sony is avoiding force feedback altogether this time. So even the big boys can be hit hard.

Unlike Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo is actually profitable with their consoles... so if they have to pay a fee for every Wiimote sold, it wouldn't be a huge hit to them.

Playstation is always getting in the way. What does PlayStation have to do with this?

I dunno, but with this kind of attitude I could make a killing selling "Blame Sony!" shirts.

Here's to Nintendo. Hope they kick some corporate butt!
I wonder why Interlink suddenly decided to act now? We've know about the wiimote for nearly 6 months/a year now.

Because the Wii is flying off the shelves. Getting a percentage of the market's hottest console makes for a nice bit of revenue.

It could happen. If the WWF could lose its initials to a small animal rights group, Nintendo could certainly lose to a small company like this, barring all the right proof is there.
