That was an interesting article. Retro had a whole bunch of stuff in development hell before Nintendo bought them, and none of it ever saw the light of day. Weren't they also working on a football game for the 'Cube?
And tho it's not a Nintendo game, I'll be interested to see what IGN comes up with for Shenmue III. I suspect it'll be just what I've heard about it before. Sega doesn't like talking about it, and Yu Suzuki always seems a bit disheartened on the subject. The current rumor is that the game is finished, but needs to be ported to a current gen console (or consoles).

Interesting, yes, but also flawed. IGN should know better than anyone that DK: Bongo Blast and Kirby, as well as Super Paper Mario, have ALL been announced for release on the Wii - at least in Japan. With the new site design I will also be adding more cancelled game pages. Look out for them

I don't think Nintendo ever did confirm that Kirby would be moved to the Wii, so the 'maybe' is probably in order here. Come to think of it, I don't remember hearing anything about the game since it was announced.
Definately an interesting article. I was a little surprised to see a couple of games I had never even heard about before.

Hm. Dead Phoenix morphing into Kid Icarus...now that would be an interesting take on the series. I wonder if there's any grain of truth to that. Capcom and Nintendo are relatively chummy these days. Interesting article all the way around.
IGN also did a "Underrated/Unappreciated" article recently which, coincidentally, mentions Body Harvest for the N64 in a very similar fashion to my take on the game on my site. I doubt IGN wandered over there, but I'm glad someone else noticed the common threads of GTA and BH.

Kirby was moved to a list of officially announced Wii games in Japan. I will track down the link later and post it here.
Of course, I'm presuming that it's the same game - it would be a bit stupid if it wasn't, don't you think? I mean, how many cancelled games can one developer have?
