This is a different kind of test to the ideas I was throwing around before. This should be quite fun to do. Let me know what you be thinking! And, in this case, help getting sprites would be absolutely brilliant! You don't have to resize them or anything. I just need dem sprites

Overall, I like it. However, I might change a few things.
Firstly, I don't like how the screenshots are arranged. It makes me think that I can change the big one with a click of the button. Of course, if you intend to do that, ignore this comment.
The second thing is the lists of characters, enemies, and items. It seems like that would be very hard to do if you are, indeed, going to keep a page for each game. It would probably be better if you're going to stick with your original plans of each series having a page.

Very nice. I really can't complain, though the page is a bit lengthy. Maybe make the Character and Enemy pages links?

To WanderingShadow: 1. I just dumped the screenshots there and forgot I had moved them until after I'd posted this. I want to figure out some way of integrating them better. 2. It will be hard, but I don't actually need sprites to make it work. Hopefully as more pages get done in this way, more people will be willing to help. To Fliptroopa: Yes, adding more information DOES tend to increase the length of the page I'm not going back to having multiple pages for a single game. You'll just have to use the links to skip to the bit you want.

Hey fry, remember when you said you were giving up the site to focus on other stuff like a Video Game Heroes site and "real life"? Is that still happening, or have you fallen in love with NinDB all over again whilst fiddling with the new design?

Well, when I took NinDB out of the equation, it turned out I didn't do any work on other websites. Not strictly true - I've started editing Wikipedia pages, which brought me right back to NinDB where I can write and safeguard all of my content.
But even with other staff, I'd keep my finger on the button for a little longer, and still be involved in major decisions (eg. to move it to a dedicated server). But as only wanderingshadow submitted anything and became "staff", that day seems a way off.

Yes, but you're already staff

Oh, yeah. Heh.
Actually, I'm surprised to hear you didn't get any other submissions, considering how much interest there seemed to be at first. Did everyone just get lazy or intimidated or something?

Well, I do like to lead by example, and I am both lazy AND intimidated by working on NinDB Anyway... talk about the new character/enemy/items lists

Speaking of which, I've noticed you haven't put my submissions up yet. I guess I'll redo them in this new style.
On a related note, I'll help convert existing games to this format if you like.

Haha, well you may notice I haven't done much updating at all in a good few months So nothing personal! At the moment I'm still playing with this idea. I'll probably be quite happy working through the Mario games myself, but if you want to tackle a franchise, let me know which one before you work on it. Also, I need lots of sprites (PNG files only - don't resize them yourself). I'd rather start with NES and Arcade though

I like the small sprites idea, really. I don't have much to say against it, in any case! It also helps illustrate the game a little bit.
