Perhaps the most aggravating hardware failure. I'm not sure how it happened, but my eject button on my Wii is broken. Specifically, it feels as if the mechanism inside is not working anymore. Where may power and reset buttons have kind of a feedback and click, my eject button does neither.
Does anyone know of a way to fix it, or will I have to send it back to Nintendo.

Never happened to me. I assume your system might need to cool down. Do you leave it on standby all the time?

Do you have Galaxy in there? If you do, who cares until Brawl comes out?

Touché! ;D
I think you'd have to send it off to Nintendo if it's a mechanical fault. Unless you fancy invalidating your warranty - and from personal experience, the Wii seems slightly more prone to screwing up than I'm used to Nintendo consoles doing... so I'd contact your local Nintendo repair centre.

I've got a problem like this. My Nunchuk has some loose wiring or something because when I'm playing Metroid its keeps coming disconnected. Its getting quite annoying because I haven't damaged it. Whenever im not using it I put it away safely. What do you think?

Kohta: Well, maybe your Wiimote has dust in the slot where your nunchuk connects. That happened to me. You just gotta blow in it...

A question for everybody here who has a Wii on WiiConnect24 (the status with the orange light when your Wii is turned off).
I don't if this has been happening the whole time I'm been using but yesterday my Nintendo Wii was quite warm to the touch. I turned WiiConnect24 off and it cooled down. The Wii was lying horizontaly by the way, not using the stand).
I wait a day and turn on the Wii, checked the fan to see if was spinning (it was). I turn on WiiConnect24 and wait a few hours and the Wii heats up. I check the fan in WiiConnect24 and it does not spin unlike when it was on.
Is this just the norm for a Wii in WiiConnect24 mode or is this a fault of some sort?

When it's on standby, it's the same as a TV or anything else on standby - it's still using a low level of energy, so it will still get warm. Plus, it's going to be constantly connected to your wireless connection, which uses even more energy.
It's not a fault, as such. Anything with standby will have exactly the same.
