I was reading an interview with Yasuhiro Wada, the creator of Harvest Moon, at Gamasutra. I got to the second page and, near the bottom, he mentions that Victor Interactive set up a publishing deal with Nintendo Europe. A quick search of VGRebirth, GameFAQs, and Wikipedia tell me that the original Harvest Moon for the SNES and Harvest Moon GB (GBC in America) were both published by Nintendo.

Yep, there's loads of games like that from the NES onwards. But because they were only published by Nintendo in Europe, I decided against adding any except ones that were 100% Nintendo exclusives, but for one reason or another were Nintendo-only (eg. Pocket Socker on GBC)
As I'm now removing game pages for games that "aren't really Nintendo", I'm moving even further away from that, rather than getting closer, so don't expect to see them added in the future.

And here's another fascinating bit o' trivia that you may already know: Nintendo of America came up with the name "Harvest Moon." According to Nintendo Power, volume 91: Natsume's success with a Japanese Super Famicom game called The Meadow Story in which players operate a farm and raise a family has been so great that it is going to be released here in North America. Thanks to Power editor Terry Munson, the game will be called Harvest Moon in North America. Yes, your Power staff even names games from other companies. Talk about power! Just another connection to Nintendo. ...Y'know, for people who're into that sorta thing.

Wow, that's fascinating. It's a good thing they changed the name. I don't think I would've tried the game if it was named The Meadow Story.
