Thanks; I kept 'em in .pcx since it seemed like the files could be easily stretched but keep its resolution, like a vector.
The blue boarder, by the way, is part of the emulator and not the game itself.

One of the cosmetic items in Hambaro for the GBC is a classic style Gameboy. Took some screenshots for 'em- the weird .pcx format is what the emulator uses as the default screenshot option.

Just announced at the Game Awards with a short teaser trailer. Also announced is a Switch port of Bayonetta 1 +2. I'm quite happy with this announcement, even if I've already bought Bayonetta twice on XBox and once on Steam.

Wait, Glass Owl? The forum TheUsed and Das set up, the spinoff from the Mushroom Kingdom Fusion wesbiste? If so, holy crap, that's a throwback. If not, just disregard this part.
The forum is still kicking around. It's a bit quiet but it's not totally dead.

I know a couple of the big ones are because of copyright conflicts- Star Wing and Lylat Wars being because of an obscure Atari game called Star Fox, for instance. I've zero idea about Illusion of Gaia though. I can't imagine there was a conflict with a name like that.

They made one of Pikmin, anything is possible at this point.

That's the kind of deep cut I really like out of these!

Happy b-day to our resident Fire Emblem expert!
I would also like to point out while typing that I had to go back and delete the word evil after Resident; apparently it's just reflex for me.

Man, that really looks like G&G. It makes me wonder how far you can push the homage card until it crosses over into infringement territory.
Regardless, that's another game for my Steam wishlist.

Ressurecting an old thread with a supririnsg addition. The Frogog enemy is named Richard in Japan, apparently an homage to For Frog the Bell Tolls. The Ribite is named Richard II, continuing the theme. In addition, Gunyolk is believed to be derived from Gunpei Yokoi's name, but there's really no way to prove this one short of asking Ted Woolsy. It's Japanese name is just Last Dungeon.

ZOE was Kojima's big non-MGS series from the PS2 era. It's best remembered for having the MGS2 demo included with the first game. Aside from an HD collection a few years ago, there hasn't been a new game since the mid-PS2 era.

There's a pretty fun petition going 'round Twitter to get Bethesda to do a red cartridge printing of DOOM in homage to the SNES original. I hope they do it.
I'm also hyped for the Arcade games, if just for the Punch-Outs. Here's hoping some of the more obscure games get a second life here, like Vs. Mach Rider and Sky Skipper.

I've started Ori and the Blind Forest and it's really good. A very pretty Metroidvania with an emphasis on pure platforming. If that sounds appealing, pick it up on Steam.
