I'll admit it - this has intrigued me. I might just have to get online tomorrow and see whats happened. I don't think its true (I mean, they make a point about Aries predicting NES/SNES/N64 downloads, which is something even I've thought of before), but, uh, yeah. Its interesting.

forums.advancedmn.com/showthread.php?t=8981Here is the entire Blog transcription by Aries. I suspect that Nintendo DOES have more up their sleeve, even the "talking Marketing guys" videos on Nintendo.com before E3 suggested that Thursday and Friday would be a big event. Aries talks about an unveiling "like something from Michael Douglas film 'The Game'"... which is rapidly starting to look possible. Interesting fact: Michael Douglas's character's dad in The Game was played by one Charles Martinet - the voice of Mario

Hmmm...
I do recall something in the pre-conference videos on Nintendo.com saying something about Thursday... Perhaps we're about to all be blown away with more Nintendo greatness... here's hoping! ;D
(Those Nintendo people are a crazy bunch, aren't they?)

Something interesting a friend of mine pointed out... it would be impossable for the type of disk drive in what they have shown us as the Revolution to take both standard size disks and the GCN's mini-disks.

Yes, probably, but look at the front of the Revolution... there's a small hatch beneath (or to the left in the standing shots) of the main disc slot. It looks about the right size to conceal a Gamecube disc slot... just like the hatch on the top that conceals the controller and memory card ports.

Can you imagine them fitting any real amount of hardware in there with 2 disk drives?

Yes. Yes I can.

I read on IGN that the drive can take both discs - it's, apparently, the first such drive to be able to do this. As for the 19th... well... that was all a lot of hype for nothing, waasn't it? And, in an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto over at IGN, we'll have to wait until next year beore the Revolution is unveiled in full! Damn...

That's not what Miyamoto said... he said that by next E3 we will know everything... which could mean that we will find out everything before next E3.
Still, yes, it was a lot of hype for nothing. Definitely a bummer compared to last year's showing.

But people did get to go to a seperate room and look at the Revolution. So his predictions had some truth in them. Interesting.

You're absolutely right Fryguy - my bad. There will very likely be unveiling of info over the coming 6 months before the year is out, as later information seemed to hint towards from the Nintendo peeps.
A well, when they're ready then they are ready...
Heck, at least we got Zelda, new DS games and a new GB! I'm pretty happy about that! ;D
