I'm going to have to step in here...
I have no problem with most Mario spinoffs. My issue is specifically with the last few Mario Party games... look at them. They invent characters and lands that even I would have thought stupid when I was extremely young...
They also take too long to play, you end up playing the same game over and over while dozens of games remain unseen thanks to that ill-programmed randomiser... and they generally take Mario away from the bright and colourful world I like, and plant him in some reject scene from a Care Bear movie.
THAT is what I don't like.

Im tired of the spinoffs.
They should make a game of short Mario games for GBA. Kinda like Kirby Super Star.
This idea is crazy but I would like a Metroid RTS game where you play as the humans and fight the space pirates. Like Age of Empires.

Mario spin-offs aside (I'm done talking about them), I actually agree with almort27 here that Nintendo should have more RTS games.
I'm a HUGE fan of RTS games, ecpecially the AoE series.
I mean, Pikmin is the closest thing we have to an RTS game (I guess it's a mix between RTS and adventure), and even though I think it's one of the best games I have ever played, I'd still like to see more traditional RTS games.
Advance Wars provides excellent turn-based strategy though, so that's a big plus.
I guess if it's RTS games I want, I should play them on a computer like everyone else...

Personally I would like to see a mainstream mario game that features Birdo (SMB2 re-makes not included).
It'll probably not happen though.

Or Nintendo could start a NEW franchise of futuristic soldiers fighting against aliens and space pirates, sort of like Starship Troopers.

Or just a metroid game where it has some points in the games where you fight in the war against the pirates.
another thing that would be a new twist in the series is new playable characters. Hunters is having new playable characters but im talking about having a guy on a mission with samus. Kind of like Resident evil where you get to choose between Chris or Jill. Each one on the same mission but with a different story.

I don't like that idea, personally. Maybe Samus could work together with another Glactic Federation member or a native alien for a small portion of the game, but if they whole game was like that it would get rid of the "trapped alone" aspect that Metroid does really well, IMO.

On the subject of RTS's, I'd like to see nintendo make a mario RTS game, where the player get's to either play as mario/ bowser commanding an army of toads/koopas Command and Conquer-style, eithe invading the mushroom kingdom or rescuing princess peach depending on who the player chooses to play as.

I would like to see some stealth games from nintendo. Im a huge fan of Metal Gear even though I dont have a PS2. It would be cool to see something different.
