Why specifically SSBM? I'm actually asking that the US and JP versions of SSBDX are both written in English and Japanese and the player can switch between the two. (The contents are different, though. Trophies, movies, title logo...) Now, the question: What about the European version?
EDIT: If possible, can I have a screenshot of the language screen? (Get one for the Japanese version at Nintendo's SSBDX page)

No, the European version is like most European games in that you can flick between a whole bunch of European languages. But some of the foreign Pokemon noises are awesome  "Pummeluff!!" hehehe. |

I've got kind of a related question I was wondering about.
In Eurpoean releases, are English words changed from American spelling to British spelling? (ie. "Grey" instead of "gray?")

Most of the time, no they aren't. Until very recently the European translation teams worked from the American translation rather than the Japanese, but now they work directly from the Japanese to cut down on European release delays.
And it's meant that in one or two games we have seen some British spellings instead of American. Another Code is the prime example that springs to mind. Awesome.
