I never thought it would really happen, but accoring to NoA's website, Geist is due to be released tomorrow (Monday 15th August). Is this correct? Are any of you buying it to see what all the fuss is about?
Man, that came right out of the blue.

Did a quick Google search, and it seems other sites have tomorrow as release date too... Gamespot says it's the 16th though

AFAIK, Geist is due out tomorrow (the 15th). Early reviews have not been kind, mainly due to control issues. I'm not planning on buying it myself. I'm looking at the Sonic Gems Collection.

Although it didn't interest me at all during development (I saw it and thought "oh, that could be cool") and moved on, it looks quite good now. If Nintendo Aus releases their Release List, and theres a big enough gap, I'll probably pick this up.

Hey, whaddaya know... Penny-Arcade seems to like Geist. And I tend to value their judgements more than most review sites

I've seen screenshots in NOM UK, and it looks pretty good, but I'll wait until I've seen it in action before I consider buying it.

I saw ads for Geist a few weeks back. I'll buy it eventually.

Wow, Edge magazine really didn't like it. They gave it 4/10 and said while it had some good ideas, it was way too flawed and broken to enjoy.
Harsh!

Seems the opinion is almost as split as Killer 7. Maybe its a rent-and-see for me, then.

Never trust other ratings. They're usually biased. The only perfect rating is your own.
