I've got a problem with that: Does it support the Gamecube GBA cable? I don't want to use the cable just for Four Sword Adventures! (Maybe I'll get Puzzle Collection and some Pokemon games to make use with that...)

I'd be surprised if it didn't... seeing as that's been a staple of Mario Golf and Mario Tennis since the N64 Transfer Paks.
But I also expect it'll do little more than let you play as your GBA characters in the N64 game.

There's nothing about GC-GBA connectivity mentioned in its official page. So I really doubt it... Hope it is there in the final version.

Every other Mario sport for GB/GBA has linked up to its console cousin - why would this be any different?
Besides, if the opening movie is anything to go by, Toad and Toadette have to be in Mario Power Tennis somewhere. And Birdo needs a return, too.

I would for Birdo, but, to be honest, I dislike the whole Toad family. Still, alot of the reason I want this is so that I get some new characters for MPT - hopefully there are more than just the RPG guys/girls.

I hope this is not a disappointing work from Camelot. It has been making great games, but if this game is delayed + does not support GC-GBA connection, then it'll surely disappoint the public.

I sorta understand your point about delay, but I don't see how this game would sell a lot worse if it didn't support GC-GBA connection. Not everyone with a GBA also has a GameCube and a link cable for it.

But lots of people will buy MT: PT because it links up with MPT (and vice versa), so, if they don't, alot will be dissapointed and, IMO, it will lose quite a few sales. Infact, I'd say a delay would affect sales less than if they didn't have the connectivity - lets face it, Nintendo fans are used to waiting.

I would say nobody would actually care if it linked up or not, aside from a small minority of people who would buy them both anyway.
