Notice how in the TGS presentation, the word "Revolution" wasn't used in any of the videos. Also note the complete absence of the Revolution logo.
This leads me to believe that Nintendo has abandoned the Revolution name internally, and is only using it to talk about the console with the media.
So, time to speculate once more. What do you think the final Revolution console will be called and why?
I am just hoping for anything that doesn't contain the word "wand".

GameWand, GameBaton, etc.... Well, this is what I thought of: GamePlat Nintendo 256 Ultra Nintendo Entertainment System Nintendo Gamecube+ I don't think I need to explain why, do I? ----------------------------------------------------- You can well ignore the followings... Nintendo MAX Nintendo Revolution Nintendo 5gen Nintendo OS (One Screen...) WC (Wireless Control) Nintendo DS Home Edition SIFHC (Satoru Iwata's first home console) G&W (Game and Wand) Family Computer (duh, but this is the most accurate description of Nintendo's consoles) Power FC (Mimicking Power PC) .....Stop ignoring, please. ----------------------------------------------------- I hope to see better names, though. My creation are just..... funny.

Well if my crackpot theories are correct, and it happens to have a 3D projector, you could called it Project R, which refers to both a Projector and 'Project Revolution'... See, this is why I'm not in marketting.
Also:
Nintendo 1080 Nintendo Nunchaku
or, the internet favourite, the Nintendo Izdoomed-111

I dunno... I've written a feature for Cube/Revo-Europe ( www.revo-europe.com - changed names last week) about how the response to the Revolution has been a lot more positive than the responses to most consoles... especially Nintendo consoles. Not all positive, of course... but a lot MORE positive... from all camps - designers and gamers alike. But it's not up yet... so you can't read it. Hahaha.

I like the name Revolution. If not, they can always call it 'Nintendo Monolith'.

Nintendo Ultra Entertainment System sounds like a prototype name for Nintendo Ultra 64. Imagine calling the N64 the UNES!

Nintendo (NES) Super (Super Nintendo) Ultra (64) (GC) Well then... Super Duper Ultimately Strong Nintendo Entertainment System, that makes it SDU-SNES!!! Well, I think just calling it Nintendo 256 would be the best.

If they use numbers they will probably use numbers greater than 360. Nintendo 1080, perhaps?
