As well as the new games, something else has been announced... (orig article- www.gamespot.com/news/6135138.html)The Nintendo DS Wi-fi adaptor! You can either use a hotspot, orif you have wi-fi use that, or use the USB adaptor. (So now you can get all sorts of stuff onto your DS when they start messing with them)

Note that it seems like that thing will only work with Windows XP, though. I'm sure there will be a Mac one aswell, but, you know. Also worth noting that you it allows for multiple people to use the same connection (like a wi-fi hotspot), so if you have multiple DSs in your house you can use just one.
Only problem is that I've heard that is rather expensive (at least the UK price is) and that you can get a wireless router (which allows you to use it for other things aswell) for less money. So hopefully Nintendo drop the price a bit, unless this is alot better than those.

Note that it seems like that thing will only work with Windows XP, though. Only XP? Well, then it's a good thing I'm getting a wireless router soon (I use Win2k). I think this Wi-Fi USB adaptor was a pretty smart move from Nintendo... not everyone has a wireless router, or knows how to set one up. Let's just hope this isn't going to be too expensive...

I think the announcement said it would be about £30, the price of a new DS game. However, if the same USB wi-fi router works for DS and Revolution, I would say that is, in fact, terrifically cheap!
And I've seen no mention of compatibility with other platforms yet - but if all it needs it a USB port and broadband access then I don't see why it would be platform specific.

Hmm i wonder if the DS has anti-virus protection? Because there is already a homebrew rom virus... www.britishgaming.co.uk/?p=77How long before a wi-fi virus follows?
