The cover story of the latest edition of Time magazine is titled "5 New Things That Will Blow Your Mind," and Nintendo's "Revolution" controller is spotlighted! The article is also available online: www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1118338-2,00.html Hmm... Nary an X-Box 360 or PlayStation 3 in sight. P.S. The URL tag doesn't seem to be working on the address. I recommend a cut-and-paste.

Nintendo's been getting quite a lot of good publicity lately. You know, I wonder if they would have received quite so much if they announced everything at E3, or whether it would have just been mixed up with the Sony and Microsoft announcements and more or less forgotten. Maybe they're smarter than we think They have also been receiving a LOT of publicity over here for Nintendogs. The DS is selling like hotcakes, and daytime TV shows have been promoting the DS and Nintendogs heavily. Maybe those pups will do for the DS what Tetris and Pokemon did for the Game Boy. And, of course, the Revolution is turning heads. Edge magazine runs a teaser at the end of each issue for the top story next month. The latest issue's teaser was my favourite... a horizontal glowing blue line. Revolution is coming!! Wheeee!

Truly, Nintendogs is the "killer app" of the DS.

You get the Australian Edge though, which is written by a different team. An angry letter to OUR Edge cleared that up... when the Aussie Edge gave the elusive 10/10 to GTA: San Andreas AND Halo 2... while our one explained clearly why they didn't deserve it.
In fact, in all of the years of our Edge, only five games have ever got a score of 10/10... SM64, Ocarina of Time, One of the Gran Turismos (I think), Halo and Half-Life 2. Even when they love a game to bits, they tend to only give it 8 or 9 out of 10 unless it's breaking completely new ground and deserves to be loved for eternity.

No, it was a joke that a glowing line could be lightsaber.
But yes we do get a different one - after I heard about this I went to see if it was in my local newsagent and, from memory, it had a picture with Samus's head, Snake's torso and a Halo dudes legs.

I think that's an older or current issue.
