How knowledge savvy are you? Do you have secret insider sources for all the Nintendo scoops? Or perhaps you visit certain websites that know things before everyone else? See, I've been thinking (again: uh-oh ), if we COMBINE the Nintendo knowledge of EVERY FORUM MEMBER, together we'd be pretty brainy right? Lets test this theory: Please post some rumours here and we'll try to use our knowledge to figure out whether each one is true or false!

1st rumour: ZeldaUniverse is reporting that Twilight Princess will clock in at about 100 hours of gameplay (that includes every side-thing). In perspective: Tales of Symphonia is around 80 hours long (according to Z.U.) and is a two-discer.
True or False? I hope its true ;D

I don't know if someone posted this before but
"It is possible that you could download movies or demos of games that would expire in 30 days, or a game that you could share with another person... Using the digital rights management system, there are a lot of possibilities how we can control these things that we download, whatever they are - movies, music, demos, or full games."
And maybee it will launch in europe first, hurra.

Rumor: Nintendo is making a Nintendogs game, featuring cats.
Source: GameSpot Rumor Control
My Opinion: I hope so.

A 2-disc Gamecube game from Nintendo would be a first, but not impossible IMHO. Make your best guess.
100 hours is pretty ambitious considering that, as you pointed out, most traditional RPGs clock in at 60-80 hours. I, personally, doubt that Twilight Princess will last that long, but I believe that Eiji Aounuma did confirm that it would, indeed, be larger than Ocarina of Time (and Wind Waker). And considering his ambitious goals for the game, it probably will be quite a bit bigger. But I wouldn't bet on 100 hours.

Rumor: Nintendo is making a Nintendogs game, featuring cats. Source: GameSpot Rumor Control My Opinion: I hope so. Hmm...I don't know about that. You would be like, "Here, kitty, kitty, kitty," and the cat would just look bored and ignore you. You'd probably attract a lot of weird looks when you suddenly shouted "Stupid cat!"

The above is completely false - I'm sure they said it will launch worldwide in a space of 14 weeks, ie, it will release in Japan whenever, and by 14 weeks after that date the US and Europe will have it, too. It wont launch in 3 months. Thats crazy.
And cats suck.

I'm pretty sure the Ninten-cats rumour is false.
And Revolution coming out in 14 weeks? Definitely not, as I believe it'll be released some time after the next E3 (or so Nintendo seem to suggest in some of their recent statements). Sad, but true.

The Revolution rumor is totally false, they haven't announced a release date yet, and when they do, it'll be like six months away.
As for 'Nintencats", the title looks stupid, and cats are boring.

You're not reading that correctly. They are saying it's going to have a worldwide release within 14 weeks.

Like I said, its saying that, basically, 14 weeks after it launches in one region (most likely Japan), the other regions will also have it.
Eg. If it launched in Japan on June 1st, by September 7th (14 weeks later, unless I miscounted) it would also be out in the US and in Europe.

That Zelda Universe site seems to revel in rumour: their latest report is about a Zelda movie! My gut reaction is - no way! Its the worst thing I've heard since that Mario movie! Gamespot addressed this rumor. Basically, it starts with John Woo having the rights to make a Metroid movie. Apparently, it's floating in limbo right now, but in the unlikely event that a Metroid movie gets made and actually turns out to be good, Nintnedo would follow it up with a Zelda movie. At least, that's what's implied by Reggie Fils-Aime in an interview with Mexican magazine Club Nintendo. www.gamespot.com/news/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=23967693
