New Rumor(you guys may have heard this one though) Its said that May 9th isn't for just showing the new Rev. fetures but its a launch party. This would explane why Nintendo gave out the press release, companies normally dont send them out till a month befor E3

As I've said, it would be great, but I'm not all that sure its true. Hard to proove or disproove at this point, though.

It'd be a bit of a dangerous idea for Nintendo. For a start, they aren't showing any games... and possibly not this "final secret" Miyamoto is talking about... until then - which will make advertising the system in the run up to the launch near impossible.
Which in turn makes for a slow launch. But who knows. Maybe they intend to announce everything and launch it a month later?

Have they said they aren't showing anything else before then, though? All I've heard is that they wont be making any announcements / revealing anything to 2006, and that it would be fully unveiled on May 9th at E3, which seems to suggest to me that they could still announce games / show of the secret before then, and on the 9th simply bundle it together and give a launch price / date / etc.
I dunno, though.

I think I read an interview lately that said there would not be any games shown before E3.
I may have misread it though.

And don't forget that Blood Falcon's ship in F-Zero X was called the Hell Hawk (which sounds much better than Blood Hawk in my opinion). No, it's always been the Blood Hawk... that was my friend's sole reason for choosing that character. Wasn't it Hell Hawk in Japan?

^ As I've said befor, This is a BIG thing. I think this is the first time Nintendo will show Video and screenshots, plus Reggie said they will have Demos by E3. So it will happen(otherwise its like shoting yourself in the foot.) Also you could say this is a rumor, heres the "launch date" revolution.ign.com/articles/673/673596p1.html

That launch date stuff is pretty logically thought out, so its the most probable (and of course, the most depressing: so long to wait...)
Anyhoo, has anyone heard any rumours about the Rev controller's yet to be revealed goodies? Apparently, there is still at least one big aspect of the controller yet to be shown (I'm paraphrasing from Miyamoto)
With this in mind, I'm guessing the internet will be going crazy with controller ideas, like YES I HERD IT W4S GONNA HAV A TOU(H SCREEN ON T SHELL ADD-ON COZ I KNOW DEVELOPING GUYS PERSNALLY AND THEY SED IT WILL BE TEH ROXORR!!!1!1!11!2
Or something along those lines.

Heh heh... it's not a rumour that there's more to be unveiled, as Nintendo have been quite vocal in saying there's more surprises to come.
Whatever they are, if they're half as inspiring as the controller's function itself, I will probably die of waiting for it to arrive next year.

Sorry, I didn't see this topic before I made my own thread on this, so I deleted it and put it here. Anyway... So...NGC has an exclusive report that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will indeed release for GameCube and not Revolution as some thought. But now it seems if the game is played on the Rev you'll be able to use the Rev's controller and, "all its advantages." Here's some scans of the article. They also speculate on what the controller could be used for, they have some interesting (although kind of obvious) ideas: www.zhq2.com/coppermine/cpg132/thumbnails.php?album=197

Nintendo always said it would be a Cube game, so thats no surprise, and the Rev controller support seems logical, so its good to see they are using it.

Ever since Twilight Princess was pushed back to 2006, I've kinda been expecting the Revolution to come in a Twilight Princess bundle when it's released. After all, so many stores have halted Gamecube sales already, and this is THE penultimate Gamecube game... but it's going to suffer in sales like Paper Mario on N64 did - by being released so late in the day.
...UNLESS it is also pushed alongside the Revolution, despite being a Gamecube title.
Now that you mention it though, I wouldn't be surprised if a number of games over the next year will have secret Revolution options when played on one... just like various Game Boy titles have done (remember the Advance Shop in the Zelda Oracles?)

The freehand controller could be used for biting, and the nunchaku could be used for walking.

Well, Nintendo recently commented on NGC's article saying it was pure speculation, so I guess that solves that one. www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=62348Recently, however, another magazine, National Geographic for Kids, has an article that talks about the Revo. It says that some games, like Donkey Konga and Super Smash Bros., will have special functions with the controller. They said Donkey Konga would use two to simulate hitting the bongos and SSB would make your character punch when you swing the controller and stuff like that. This was also proven to be just speculation on how current games work, however. www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=62348Another two rumors bite the dust.
