www.nintendo-reloaded.com/ncaster172/view.php?id=387Animal Crossing In Japan, a week before Animal Crossing relesed there were 400,000 pre-orders and since its release, 300,000 more were sold. Retailers are also reporting a huge boost in DS console sales as a result of the title's release. And thats not all..... www.nintendo-reloaded.com/ncaster172/view.php?id=386In Europe, Nintendogs has sold 1mill. copies. The good news. The Ds has sold over 100,000(this # may be wrong, it looked like a typo on the site:100,00) and last week sold 120,000 units Things sure are looking up for Nintendo. Lets hope the Revolution dose as good as this.

The DS has been remarkable. When Nintendo announced it everyone thought they were a bit mad. Why wasn't it called a Game Boy? Why does it look like a chunky piece of plastic? Won't all the games be as gimmicky as WarioWare?
And yet, a year on, it has become one of the biggest success stories of gaming. Something THAT ugly and uncomfortable to hold surely shouldn't be outselling the PSP, should it? And yet it has! Hoorah!
