Ah, Thanksgiving. The American holiday where the Mayflower Pilgrims celebrated the harvest after their first winter in the new world. Then killed all the natives. These days we (over)eat turkey and watch (American) football, or in my case, play lots of (Nintendo) video games. A holiday release for the Revolution is about what I expected, so I guess my "later half of 2006" prediction (wherever I got it from) was right. I'm awesome! And to think, I was about to come in here and apologize for getting my facts wrong.

NEWS FLASH Developers have (apparently) been told to expect a release date around Thanksgiving 2006. In other news, developers have been saying that the Revolution isn't as souped up as the PS3 or X-Box 360... clocking in at around three times the graphics processing power of the Gamecube... other developers have said it's like a souped up X-Box (although this is incredibly confusing, as the X-Box is not even twice the power of Gamecube). But none of them seem to mind. They are too excited and worked up over the controller. Many developers have already said they will support the system, and many third parties are signing up for support. Come May we will know if all of this is speculation or fact. ^you beet me to it I dont it being only a little better then the X-Box, As long as theres some fun games(SSB3) Im fine.

When you consider how fantastic RE4 looked using GCN hardware I don't see whats going to be so bad about only being 2 or 3 times more powerful than that. Sure, it wont be as good as the 360 or PS3 but that will still look damn good.
But if Nintendo are reallly doing this to lower production costs (as I've heard before) we need to see something from it, whether its a reduction in price of games or more games from smaller third parties.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
