That's generally my experience of all the F-Zero games. I suck at them, but I enjoy them anyway. Not sure why. I guess you have to be a proper F-Zero nutcase to get the most out of them. ;D

I'd probably love it more if the music was more like F-Zero X... Big Blue just doesn't feel right without that theme.

Tell me about it. I played it a few times, thought it was terrible, and stuck it at the bottom of my games pile. A few months I chucked it in again and realised how stupid I was for not sticking with it. And now, I love it! I still suck at it, but I love it! Woah. Same!

My first F-Zero game was the first GBA one... I was able to make some headway into it, but dang those games are hard. I'd really like to get into the series (especially my inner encyclopedia-ist), but Mario Kart is about the limit of my skillz. =/

I'd probably love it more if the music was more like F-Zero X... Big Blue just doesn't feel right without that theme. Or Mute City either.

F-Zero is the hardest game I have ever played that was actually fun. Usually hard games aren't that fun...

Hard games that are hard because they require you to improve your skills and get better = fun.
Hard games that are hard because things (controls, camera, etc) aren't right = not fun.

Example:
Sonic Riders = fun.
Shadow The Hedgehog = not fun.
...Couldn't resist.
