Indeed. But it's not all good news!
Note how Nintendo have announced nothing else for the GBA. This could very well be the last Nintendo published GBA game... ever!
But what a swansong, eh? Mother 3!! It's been nearly 9 years since the sequel was first announced on N64, and nearly 3 years since it was first announced on GBA.

Didn't notice that, but yeah, looks like the poor GBA is about to die.
On the plus side, once the GBA dies out the games should fall in price - and theres quite a few I need to buy.

I wouldnt doubt that the GBA would die. Nintendo may have wanted 3 pillers, but its impossible to do if one of them is obsoliet. But mother 3 sound great. Hope it comes out in the summer.

You are missing the only RPG filled with surreal comedy from beginning to end. It's not just funny where it matters (like Superstar Saga)... but it's integrated into the gameplay.
Where else would you have to save an entire town from being devoured by zombies by trapping them all in a circus tent with Zombie Paper?
Where else would a bee from the future arrive to save you all from a powerful attacking alien, only to be crushed by your neighbour's mother?
Ahh, bliss...
The original Mother on the FC is also available in ROM form over the 'net in English as Earthbound. Not QUITE as insane, but a stepping stone to the insanity that is the SNES version.
I heartily recommend them - it's a crime that these games never made it out in Europe.

I've played a ROM of Earthbound but I lost it, plus I don't like playing ROMs. But I can tell its awesome from the little I played.

Ah, the Earthbound Zero rom. The first game where I got to smash an angry neighbor with a baseball bat. Yes, I believe beating up Wally is how I first levelled up in that game. ;D

Looks like Earthbound has jumped up about 10 places in my "Top 50 games to download on Revolution" list. Boy do I want to play it soooo much..almost as much as SMRPG infact.
