Opera announced today that they're working together with Nintendo to make a web browser for the DS! There's only mention about a Japan release, but I'm getting the feeling other countries will be getting this too. Just thought I'd mention that, as - I think - it's pretty awesome news. Discuss away ;D

Well, Reggie said at the DICE Summit that Nintendo were planning to make a web browser early on, but they thought someone else was doing it. When that third-party project seemed to die, Nintendo once again picked it up. So I imagine the US will eventually see a version of it. Hmm... maybe I have to make a DS-friendly version of NinDB

Great news! And there's that other news about the DS getting a TV tuner as well! So happy! My only doubt is whether or not these add-ons will make it out of Japan and over here.

Yeah, not until 2012 at the earliest, last I read. The UK's analogue signal is being shut down in 2010. That gives the DS a good long run of receiving TV before you have to worry about it - and chances are you won't want to watch TV on the DS anyway.

Actually, I am not interested with an Opera for DS (I have a PC already), or a TV receiver (I don't need TV; I get information and news and such from other sources anyway). I'd be happier if Nintendo make us a device to project the DS screens onto TVs, monitors or something like those. Anyway, I have a feeling that Iwata is going to turn DS into a laptop. Yeah, not until 2012 at the earliest, last I read. The UK's analogue signal is being shut down in 2010. WHAT!? Analog signal being shut down? Ooooh poor me. Some time before I used about 9 pounds to buy myself a TV card, and now!?!?!?!? .....Anyway. I have it because I want to play GC on my computer AND being able to to capture the screen. EDIT: It is 9 pounds, not 90. 90 pounds is enough for even a display card of quite fine quality! A TV card doesn't deserve that price.

Just reread the article. The TV tuner is for a new digital signal going live in Japan this April - so don't worry about the ol' analogue signal.

SWEET! Opera is what I use, so good for me! Hmm... maybe I have to make a DS-friendly version of NinDB To test if it is DS-friendly (in Opera at least), hold Shift and press F11. Some lines cross over each other and it's a little hard to read for now, but it should be fixable.
