I wish they can make SSB game in SF or KOF style for GBA or DS, but it depends on the controls but at least you use supers. I can imagine Mario's commands almost basically Ryu Hoshi's Patterns Down + Forward+ Punch = Fireball Down + Back + Punch = Tornado (Note it can damage the foe multiple times) Foward + Down + Foward = Super Jump Punch Supers DF+DF+Punch = Super Fire Ball BD+BD+Punch = Super Hurricane DF+DF+Kick = Extreme Rising Uppercut Luigi he's compared to Ken Masters because his fist is stonger than Mario but HP is his Smash Chop. Luigi can still run and punch like geek in SSB. Same as his eldest Mario but his Emerald Blaze (Fireball) is weaker but his Cyclone and Bruning Jump Punch is stronger. Hold Backward + Punch = Midori Missle Supers DF+DF+Punch = Mutiple Uppercut same as Ken's Shoryureppa DF+DF+Kick = Blazing Fist same Ken's Shinryuken Hold Backward+F+B+F+B+Punch = Mega Midori Missle same pattern as Edmond Honda. Okay, Any questions?

No thanks. SSB = SSB, not SF with Nintendo characters.

Exactly.
Maybe we should just have the traditional makeup. Though with the touch screen. Somehow...
How would it use the touch screen?

I think for systems that don't have precision analogue control, there should be SSB games in the standard fighting game style. I mean sure, I love the gameplay of SSB... but I love the piles of retro even more! It's like a treasure hunt! So any game style like that will make me a Happy Happy.

I agree with Saimdusan about the traditional style SSB. A DS or GBA game would be awesome as I have been a fan of the series for many years. Even if they just brought out the original SSB on DS I would buy it, just like they did with Super Mario 64. Some extra features and characters from SSBM would really make it appeal to nintendo fans.

Nah. The SSB style is great and not really confusing as SF.

The more important question is, how would it use the touch screen?
EDIT: I know! It could use the touch screen to make characters move, and determine the direction the special moves go in.

How does Jump Superstars work? I assume SSB DS could work like that.

(again, because of my exam......... anyway, maybe I'll appear here for a few imes.)
Personally I don't want that style of fighting game. You see, Nintendo has made only 1 fighting game so far - Joy Mecha Fight (I consider SSB or JSS as action game rather than fighting), and HAL Lab has made none. Because of this, I doubt if they make one, it'll be reaally good.
Plus, Fighting game gave me a "hard to control, characters not fast and nimble andare heavy" impression. I don't even have a chance to strike when playing these. Why would I bother with a Nintendo fighting game?

Also, how about just using the touch screen to move, and chose which direction the attacks go in? It would be like, a replacment for the analog stick. How would dual screen gameplay work... what would the top screen do? Show the statistics?

I think the touch screen would be used solely for directional purposes... What I mean is simple right, left,up and down movement or maybe smash attacks? As for other touch screen ideas: the player could also tap-the-screen to pick up an item then tap-and-drag the item in a certain direction to throw it. Or maybe you could use it to taunt? Or maybe even a new feature that HAL hasn't thought of yet. There is so many ideas for the touch screen...but thats all I can think of for now.

The dual screen could provide a zoomed in look at your character (about where the camera is positioned in 1-player Melee games) on the top screen and a zoomed out view of all the fighters (about where the camera is positioned in a 4-human-player melee) on the bottom. Simple.
You could then steal things like the Blooper weapon from MKDS, too.

I have been thinking in a concept like this one for a long time (since I am also a big fan of SNK fighters). I'd love to see some DM (desperation moves) and SDM or HDM (super and hidden), in a SSB game.
Yeah, I'm aware that it won't have the same Smash Bros. unique feeling, but it also could bring an interesting, yet unoriginal, twist in the series.

I would imagine that HAL would also include WI-FI connectivity. Being able to player against players all over the world would be amazing, it would be just like the REV.
