After months of speculation and denials the truth has come straight from the horses mouth. Heres the ign link: revolution.ign.com/articles/696/696091p1.htmlI for one could not be happier. The cube loyalists still have their game and those moving on will only get more. ;D ;D ;D

Yeah, I also think this is good news.
We can take advantage of the revolutions unique controller on a series so popular as Zelda. This will also give us an insight into what is to come for the Zelda franchise without having to wait for the next Zelda:Revolution to come out.
I will definetly be picking this game up, along with the revolution later this year...

To be fair, Nintendo never actually denied it... they just emphatically refused to admit it

Kinda like the whole DS redesign issue at the beginning of the year.
" We have no plans to- (2 weeks later) Say hello to the new and improved DS!!!"

Yeah I just found out about this. I go to IGN before NinDB ussually anyway.
But guys, don't get your hopes up. It might be a misunderstanding. Remember when it was thought the head of Sony "confirmed" a 2007 release date for the PS3?

To be honest I stopped caring about this a while ago (probably about the 3rd time it was disputed). Sure, it will be a great feature, but, when it comes down to it, I'm buying TP, and I'm buying a Rev, both because I want to buy them for their individual merits, not because they relate to each other. I'm not sure why Nintendo didn't just say thats what they were doing to begin with, really.

Maybe they got ideas from the rumors...

Does this mean that it'll be delayed again??

It never had a specific release date anyway, beyond "2006"... and it's still due out in 2006. It just might be towards the tail-end of 2006 rather than the spring-end.
But I expect that it will be released just before the Revolution, then packaged alongside the Revolution when the console is released.
Nothing like a new Zelda AND a new Mario to sell a new console... even if the new Zelda is for an old console!
