Just somthing that has been bugging me for a while now, and just wanted to know your opinion.
Is it only me who thought Mario Kart DS WI-FI multiplayer was a bit...well disappointing to say the least. My friends all seem to love it greatly, and Im not usually a one to disagree with majority vote.
These are the things I really disliked about the WI-FI on MK:DS ~ ~ Waiting for ages just for some contenders! One time it took me 20 mins to get a race... ~ Oppponents dropping out of races cuz they are losing or just cuz they are being plain annoying. ~ Only up to 4-racers, I wanted an all out brawl with 8 friends, so i was disappointed there ~ The buggy kart movment, and items sometimes going straight through your opponents, even red shells.
Anyways, am I the only one here? Comments much appreciated, Im rabbling like an old grandad so I'll bid you good day folks ;D

It was kinda weak in certain ways, but for Nintendo's first attempt at online play, it was done rather well. Hopefully Nintendo will learn from their mistakes when making a Revolution Mario Kart.

I agree with Masamune. Sure, it has some setbacks, but for a first shot at online gaming, it's easy and free!

Also, take a look at Mario Kart's online features vs. Metroid Prime Hunter's. They know what they're doing now, methinks.

Fair enough, I guess it was their first shot at online gaming besides the GC. I guess the whole reason I brought this up is because i can't wait for the other WI-FI games such as Animal Crossing and Metroid:Hunters.
But hey, I thought the wireless connection when you are with your friends is great, seems as though we've all got a DS and MK:DS. And I had been waiting for MK:DS cuz the wireless multiplayer on Mario 64 DS was pretty lame. I was especially disappointed a Wario Ware: Touched having no wireless features at all.

The Gamecube may have had internet access (in theory so did the Famicom, Super Famicom and 64DD in Japan), but this was their first proper shot at online gaming. The earlier systems were sort of data and file sharing - not much to do with multiplayer.
