I picked this game up yesterday, and I've been playing it a lot! It almost makes me feel like a kid again. This is a true Mario game! It's like a mix between SMB3 and Yoshi's Island, which is obviously a great thing! Anyone else played it yet? Between this, Super Mario Galaxy coming out for the Wii, and Super Paper Mario coming out for the Gamecube, it's great to see Mario actually appearing in some Mario-style games! It's how Mario should be!

It good, but not as good as I thought. The games kinda short and you get to many lives. Besides that its a good game.

I just picked this game up yesterday. I really love it so far. My only real complaints are with the new power ups. The shell is just too hard to control at high speeds and has just led me to die everytime I use it. The Mega Mushroom is boring, and the Mini Mushroom is only helpful when there is a Mini Mushroom pipe nearby, othewise it just reverts you back to regular Mario status for no good reason. But that's all right, I'll just stick with Fiery Mario. It is kind of easy, but the sheer fun factor more than makes up for that. This is now my favorite DS game, although that might just be first impressions clouding my judgement.

That's so great. I still don't have it yet ~ The Japanese version has been sold out. Duh. I am not the only one that want the yellow case deadly.
I hope I can get it soon... I don't want to end up getting the US version!

I got it on Tuesday (and its a Canadian version, in fact - so much French), and I really, really like it. I beat the last boss fairly quickly, but have now been spending time trying to get to worlds 4 and 7.
Really good stuff.

I absolutely love this game. The mini-games (same as Mario 64 DS) are still fun and exciting. The levels are well built. I agree that the powerups aren't exciting (no cape?), and the lack of Yoshi makes me feel like this game is empty sometimes.
One question: Is the Mario v.s. Luigi a 2 player ADVENTURE co-op like the earlier videos indicated, or is it JUST a "compete-to-collect-5-stars-in-any-5-levels" game?

The latter. Battle for 5 stars. Not all that fun.
The minigames are alot of fun, though.

I've been enjoying the game a lot as well. The new powerups aren't too great (compared to legendary items like the Tanooki Suit or Cape Feather), but the level design is top-notch, the new platforming elements (those crazy mushrooms!) are really cool, and the overall polish is strong. The developers wanted to go back to the raw basics of Super Mario Bros., and I feel that they pulled that off quite well. I've got a few more worlds to go (I'm in the middle of World 5), but I'm having a lot of fun so far.
