What is your favourite part of E3? Could be a game, or it could be something with in a game. If people have disappointment, then there should also be parts of E3 that they like!
My favourite part of E3 is...
Super Paper Mario.
Not really my favourite part of "E3" - I've seen it name on Nintendo's schedule on 30th May, so I got excited only on that day. (In other words, I don't completely trust E3 or other game expos anymore)
The next day tha I really wait for is now 3rd August. New Mario and StarFox. Wow.

The press conference was awesome, and I wasn't sure how they could top it. Then I saw someone grumbling that there was no Smash Bros. announcement, which got me thinking... then they announced Smash Bros. Brawl the next day. And it was everything I wanted it to be.
THAT was my best moment of E3. They let us down slightly so the impact would be even greater. They also prevented the inevitable event that SSBB would have dampened all other announcements to some degree.

^ Same. I got up early (well, not early, but earlierthan usual) to check out Ninty's press conference aftermath, and, while there was great stuff, I have to admit it wasn't quite as amazing as I thought it would be. I sorted through pages of screens and stuff on Wednesday night, and then, as I walked home on Thursday, I thought about what video to download, since I knew it would take a long time on my computer (it was gonna be YI2, probably). I jumped onto the interweb, and that shot of Mario, Link, Pikachu, Kirby, Zero Suit Samus, Pit and Metaknight stared back at me. I started downloading the video, whilst looking through screens. What a feeling!
Definately my top moment.

Smahs Bros. Brawl all the way! Woo! ^^ The conference was great, but I agree with fryguy - the way they let SSB take its own stage and not block out anything else they were promoting was very smart on their part.

The regret we all bore after not hearing about Smash, and then the utter BLOWOUT after they unveiled. That was priceless. I had my Genetics final the next morning, and it was 11 o'clock and I just fancied to go online for a few secs to see if anything interesting appeared and BAM, big ass screenshot of NEWCOMER: Snake. I was in utter disbelief for five minutes, muttering and yelling to my roommates at the same time. We scrolled through the screens, I was awashed with every emotion imaginable, then we watched the trailer.
Now, I believe <3

My favorite part was the press conference itself. I thought Nintendo was really on top of things. Reggie is the best PR guy Nintendo has ever had. I also sat through both Sony's and Microsoft's press conferences, and I'll personally confirm that Sony's was dull, bland, lifeless, and lacking in style and energy. Both Nintendo's and Microsoft's were much more engaging, focused and enthusiastic. (You could tell by audience reaction alone.)
And on a fanboyish note, I like that Nintendo has finally struck a blow to the competition. For the last 10+ years, Sony has almost made a habit of zinging Nintendo at E3 (I assume as revenge for Nintendo's cruel way of letting Sony know they had been dumped off the SNES PlayStation X project). But it was gratifying to hear everyone say Nintendo had the best conference this year, to see the video of everyone running past Sony's booth to line up at Nintendo's, and to have Sony be most remembered for the one-two punch to their own face with the PS3's high price(s) and suspiciously derivative controller capabilities.
For the E3 Critics Choice Awards, Nintendo as a publisher got nominated a record 13 times and carried home 5 awards--more than any other publisher at this year's E3. The ceremony will apparently be shown on the Spike TV network on June 7th.
So, for someone who was a Nintendo fan way back when they were originally on top of the mountain, and to see them play second/third banana for so many years afterwords, it's great to see them climb back up the mountain again. It's an exciting time to be a Nintendo fan.

The unveiling of SSB:B and the fact that they haven't pushed the release of Twilight Princess into 2007.

E3 bodes well... but the console wars have not yet begun... With 6 million units shipping in its first 5 months, Wii ought to be able to pass GCs mark of 21 million total sales... But PS2 sold over 100 million... and XBox sold 25 million without the Japanese market... So Nintendo indeed have a mountain to climb to be top banana.

What I liked about E3 was that there were a few more Gamecube games coming out
Super Paper Mario Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
