It's not a final list. Read more carefully...
"Listed below are the games already confirmed by Nintendo (or other publishers), though we will be adding or subtracting games as details arrive. In addition, there are other titles such as Final Fantasy and Excite Truck that we are simply awaiting official word on before adding."

Is this the first time no Mario game has launched a Nintendo system? Gamecube at least had the Luigi title, which is close enough. It seems strange for Zelda and Metroid to launch the system.
I just might wait until Galaxy and Brawl come out to get this system, because those are the games I REALLY want. I also want about 60 old-skool games I missed out on as kid on the Virtual Console though, but I'm still waiting on game lists and prices for that.

I dunno. Seems like a strong launch list. Considering most people will buy their Wiis after the holidays, and seeing how it fares, and that's when Smash and Mario are set to come out anyways (early next year), hey: it might work out after all.

It is a strong launch lineup for sure, especially if Excite Truck, Final Fantasy and Duck Hunt find their way onto it. Duck Hunt might make me spring for it earlier. That Trauma Center game also looks cool in the creepiest of ways.

I hope SSBB comes out in April at the latest. If it comes out in May I'll be pi**ed. I dunno. Seems like a strong launch list. Considering most people will buy their Wiis after the holidays, and seeing how it fares, and that's when Smash and Mario are set to come out anyways (early next year), hey: it might work out after all. Why after the holidays? And I think the reason they aren't launching Mario with the Wii is to make them look mature. Y'know, with TP and MP3.

Nintendo has said they will have an extensive first- and third-party launch lineup available. I can only hope they live up to that claim, and deliver a software lineup like that of the DS. Good stuff.

I wonder whether the Zelda title will move a lot of systems? Anyone on the edge about getting a Wii who has a Gamecube might just get the GC version. For example the GC version still outranks the Wii version on IGN's E3 games list: www.ign.com/e3/2006/games/rank-asc.htmlBeing a Zelda title with extra Wii functionality, and with Brawl and Mario likely coming out in Wii's first six months, it will certainly move a lot of hardware, but I wonder if it would be better for Nintendo just to release the Wii version...

Yeah, I don't know of anyone who has a GCN, is not getting the Wii, and wants TP. What about the Wii Zelda games that are inevitable? I don't get why people would prefer a GCN version.

GC version = 50 bucks Wii Version = 250+ bucks
I can easily see why many people would be content with the GC version.

I trust you're adding in the price of the Wii there as well. You know the saddest thing of all? I'll probably end up with both of them

I'm getting the GC version first. I'll likely pick up the Wii version down the road. I want a Zelda designed from the ground up as a Wii title more than a GC title converted halfway through.

I wouldn't be too concerned about that personally Wildcat... Much of the year-long delay of the game was likely to remap the whole thing to the Wiimote and nunchuk, and by all reports it works great... Watch that video on IGN with the giant lava troll boss; it looks to work very fluidly and intuitively...

I'm still confused which one to get. I will probably buy the GC version, as I can still play that on my Wii, and just borrow the Wii version from somebody else. As cool as it is to actually fire bows and whatnot, I don't know if I can afford to wait longer for the game, or screw my brother out of his chance to play it.
Then again, I tend to play Zelda alone, so it's not like I'd look silly, and it is pretty darn cool...
