Welcome to the E3 2006 board, where on the 9th May we will put up the latest news and discussions about the Wii, the Nintendo DS and perhaps even some more Gamecube and GBA information.
Only staff members can start a new thread (which basically means only I... and Masamune if he wants... can start new threads). All members can reply to threads. This is to keep the topics on this board relevant until after all the big news has been announced.
Aside from all the big news stories, there will also be the following two topics:
Pre-E3 Rumour Mill I will open this shortly. This will be somewhere for everyone to get all excited and damp about what Nintendo MIGHT be up to this year.
General E3 Discussion I will open this early on the 9th May. If you think I've missed an important Nintendo news story, post it here. I may well open a topic for it. Don't jump the gun though... if Nintendo has announced something, give me a minute to get the topic written up.
As usual, I will be sitting in front of my computer with a steady stream of coffee, covering everything I can as it shows up. I will post more information/screenshots/links to videos as they become available, and you are free to discuss any news story as much as you like.
On the 10th May I will enable everyone to post new topics again.
It's six days away... let's get this party started!

On the 10th May I will enable everyone to post new topics again. So, basically, new threads are disabled until the day after the press conference? Is that just to prevent gossip from getting out of control? I'm not complaining or anything, I was just wondering why that was the magic day. Anyway, you can bet I'll be glued to my PC also, as I am every year. I'd like to help out by keeping an eye out specifically for third party news. Maybe I could be like the NinDB's official third party correspondent? After all, why have one party when you can have three?

Yes, it's basically so I'm in charge of the headlines until after the press conference. Very few game announcements are made at the E3 show - they're usually all at the press conference. The screenshots magically appear on Nintendo.com, co.uk and co.jp at roughly the same time. After the conference is over and the headlines have all been written, then I'm then happy to open up wider discussion of the show. The "general" topic that I will open on Tuesday morning (which is middle of the night for America) will allow for this wider discussion earlier if needs be, but not for headlines. I just need to be in control of the proceedings for a few hours...
