You can't post headlines until after the initial E3 conference, but you can use this board to discuss any E3 related gubbins. Not rumours... use the other topic for that.

Could I just ask, when are the pre-show speeches taking place? In UK time, I mean. I don't want to be hanging around my computer all day to hear the first news.

Nintendo's is supposed to start at 4.25 PM GMT. That's when I start working harder than I've ever worked in my life They usually start a bit late... but I'll be completely focused on it from about 4.00.

The Nintendo press conference is Tuesday afternoon. E3 opens on Wednesday.
We will receive pretty much ALL of the news by the end of today... it begins...
So, what do you all think about Sony's new Dualshocktilt controller announcement, with tilt-sensor technology that doesn't rumble (because rumble cocks it up)? It's like... they're not even trying to hide the fact they're trying to steal Nintendo's ideas, and producing a half-baked alternative (note to all... Sony's controller will have similar functionality to the "nunchuku" attachment, which is also said to be tilt sensitive. It is in no way like the triangulated motion controls available with the Wiimote).
Still, they didn't show any actual games that used it. I suppose it's quite hard to develop a motion sensitive controller AND some kind of in-game demonstration between the Tokyo Game Show 2005 and E3 2006. After all... that a brief "stealing" window.

Sure they did - Warhawk, which will be the only thing we'll see that uses the motion sensor for the next few yearsprobably, until Sony give up and make the PS Thrii Remote.
Or, at least, I hope the Wii is successful enough for that to happen.
And good thing the Dragon Quest game is a launch game, because it will be E3 2007 when I finally finish saying the title.

Do you think that's possibly related to that Dragon Quest game they released for PS2 with the custom sword controller? That would be interesting.

Just had a look at the gamesradar site, they've been quite busy:
They've already broken a PS3 whilst playing a demo, and they discovered another Wii exclusive game from Sega: Sonic Wild Fire. Here's the scoop from their site:
"Sonic hasn't appeared in a game purely by himself since he first appeared on Mega Drive back in 1991, but that isn't the only thing different about the new Wii adventure, as Sonic Wild Fire will make full use of the motion sensitive controller.
Holding the wand horizontally with two hands, gamers must tilt it left or right to control the movement of the speeding hedgehog. If the pad is flung forward (presumably still keeping hold of it) this will activated Sonic's dash attack which can break down barriers and take out enemies.
The motion sensing capability of the Wii wand will also be compatible with the game's various unlockable minigames, many of which are multiplayer."
Oh, and apparently the story's got an "Arabian Nights" theme.

Oh boy... I watched the last half of the live feed... I'm way too excited. I believe I may have wet my pants in a fairly literal manner.
I'd better see if I can download the full conference... I seem to have missed some real good stuff.

Well...I'm sure as hell excited. I think there's been a lot of positive feedback from Nintendo's press conference. Although the games do look really good...you can definitely see a difference in the graphics between the Wii and the other consoles... ...oh well. I guess that's the price you pay for not dropping HALF A G on a console. ;D Here's hoping to some playable SSB Wii tomorrow and a $200 pricetag.
