Excite Truck (it was Excite Truck)... The controller is used to steer, and balance your truck in the air. The terrain deforms in real-time. Project HAMMERSwing the controller to swing a big hammer at your enemies. Realistic looking first party game. Disaster: Day of CrisisFight against mother nature's big disasters. Another realistic game. Strange that all three are realistic. Nintendo's gone all mature on us

Project HAMMER is third-party? I thought it was first? Who's making it?
Excite TRUCK! OK, I thought he was saying "Excitra."

Sneakily, the guys over at IGN have just announced that they were given a hands-on with some of these new games a couple of days ago, and are only allowed to reveal the details now.
They've uploaded impressions of ExciteTruck and Metroid Prime 3 so far. I'm off to read them!

I guess it sucks that no Smash Bros. was displayed, but look on the bright side: maybe this HAMMER guy will be in SSB3. Smash Bros can use a person with a weapon different from a sword!

I love Smash Bros... but I wouldn't be surprised if they're holding off until it's a bit more complete. It's not been in production for long, and SSBM was nearly complete when it was first shown.
But who knows? 27 playable Wii titles and many more videos... there might well still be some videos of it in existence.

Project HAMMER looks so much like Geist in graphical style it's not funny. Disaster seems really cool; looks like it would have a very Resident Evil 4 feel to it. Excite Truck is meh. Probably will do just as well as Excitebike 64 did, give or take a few. ...now what was that super-secret Miyamoto franchise again?

Yeah it really does. How would you control it going so fast? Also Project H.A.M.M.E.R. looks cool. I might have to give it a whirl.
