I just read this at gamespot: Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis is an action puzzle sequel to be released on September 25th that puts the player in control of Mario toys in a bid to save Pauline – one of the franchise’s early characters not seen for decades. In addition to playing through the normal game solo, players can create their own maps and send them across the world via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, as well as downloading those that others have created. www.gamespot.com/e3/e3story.html?sid=6149748

Pauline! Hahaha. I saw this earlier today, actually, and it sounds A LOT like the old SNES game, Krusty's Super Funhouse. Anyone remember that? Actually, those were already stages in the first MvDK. So I guess they just took those bonus levels and slapped a whole game together based on them. Cool. The first MvDK was nothing compared to the original DKGB, and it was a tad disappointing. Here's hoping this one's pretty tight.

Krusty's Fun House! Oh yeah, I remember that (I had the GB version though, not the SNES one).
Pauline, eh? Awesome.

Story
Mario has extended the range of Mini toys to include Peach, Toad and Donkey Kong. The range is hugely popular, and Mario makes so much money that he opens a theme park - "Super Mini World".
At the opening ceremony, he invites his earliest friends, DK and Pauline. DK instantly falls in love with Pauline, and when she snubs his offer of a DK Mini in favour of a Mario Mini, the ape loses it, kidnaps Pauline, and escapes into the park.
Sounds nuts!

At least it has more of a storyling than most/all of the mario party games. Anyway I take this is on the DS and not on the rev yes?

Yep, DS.
Thats a hell of a story. Peach, Toad and DK toys? So Luigi gets snubbed again? Awesome.
Announced Mario games that seem to ignore Luigi = 2 and counting.

And Luigi played a decently sized role in PM: TYD Okay, I know you guys don't like canon complaints, but once again: this DK does not equal Old DK >.> I understand it's the developer who actually makes this happen, and they do have the final say, but it is so annoying

There is no canon - or if there was, it has been trashed beyond recognition. It is conflicting and confusing, and nothing in any of the games helps. So all we can do is take the developer's current stance. Nintendo is now saying all Donkey Kong iterations are the same character. Cranky is just an old Kong. Junior is DK's son. So... Nintendo intends this to be the original Kong. Deal with it.

I don't think it'll happen (what with 2-player support confirmed and all), but that Luigi really needs to be taken down some more notches. Go back to house cleaning, greeno.
