I'll ask again: Did anyone else notice that the Groudon destroyed the background?
I also think that the protagonists from FL/LG will make some appearance, because that DID seem to be real time. Maybe you can choose a skin when about to battle?

I wonder if that's the actual gameplay. It should be, because of the menus and all that, but it would be really really difficult to animate all those little destructible beats to the arenas. Pokemon contact isn't hard, just aggravating because you have to make sure that Pikachu's "Tackle", for example, looks the same when he's hitting everybody, or the other guy will react to attacks properly, y'know?

Good point, but Menus dont make it gameplay.
If you seen the trailer for "Eight day" for the PS3 you'd know what Im taalking about. Its all pre-rendered but (surprise surprise) sony sliped a cursor to make it look like gameplay. Although Nintendo dosn't trick ppl(they normally just leave us in the dark instead) its still possible.

No worries, Nintendo is too awesome they will deliver! sometimes.

Finally a new pokemon game that doesn't involve snagging.
Now if only nintendo could do a proper game that involves finding wild pokemon in the grass in 3D, I'll be really excited.
As it stands I'm grateful for a proper battling mode rather than the lame, short-lived battling section in GoD.

Actually it might have a story part with snagging And that would be cool finding 3D pokemon in the grass

^Agreed
Its not that the snagging is bad, but the rest of the game usually is. Collosium was fine but DX was just awful. If they do it, they need to make the game fun.

I was as obsessed with snagging in Colosseum and XD as I was with regular ol' capturing in the other games.
To be fair, it's exactly the same concept, just applied to a multi-Pokemon battle. You have to defend your own Pokemon from the onslaught of both a Shadow and a second Pokemon while taking care not to knock the Shadow out.
Much more technical, in my eyes. And much more tense. Which in its own way was just as fun as hoarding hundreds of Wild Pokemon ;D
