Right... soon the whole site will be updated into the new format. I think it's only fair that I let you know what else I plan to do with it in the near (or in some cases, distant) future: - Tie up any loose ends on the site. The SSBM cameos page is still down, and I haven't gotten around to doing the Pikmin 2 cameos guide, as well as many others.
- Tweak the main layout of the menus to make each console section relate more to that console. I'm at a very basic ideas stage right now, so if you have any suggestions that'd be great.
- Extra sections for games: You may have noticed the Secrets & Cheats pages haven't all been going up. They will return, but more thoroughly researched to include unlockables and strange Easter Eggs that don't really count as cheats. I will also be introducing Staff Credits pages for each game... so any help with them would be brilliant.
- A section that provides basic and advanced strategies for Nintendo's many puzzle games. This has been planned for quite some time, but I'm only particularly familiar with Picross and Dr. Mario. So if you consider yourself a bit of a whizz at Tetris Attack or something, I'd love some help developing this idea.
- One of the first things I expect I'll do is to move the cameos from the franchise pages onto separate pages. They'll still be in the same section, but will not clog up the main page. It also gives me a chance to explain the cameos in more detail.
- Try and get some sort of managable "coming soon" system in place, so people can see what games are still on the horizon for Nintendo's latest consoles. I want to site's tagline to be "celebrating Nintendo's past, present and future", but we don't presently do the future here.
- Developer lists will return... they WILL! I promise! I really think they were an important part of the site, and I would to get them back on board.
- I will also continue my research into Nintendo's toys & games, as well as the other lesser-known Nintendo things... like the Satellaview-X, Game & Watch (they will get game pages again), and the arcade titles without pages.
- And of course generally working on the site and keeping it up to date! Always a priority.
Does anyone else have any good ideas for what Nintendo Database can include? |

I know the Game & Watch pages aren't up yet, but the old list seemed to have more games, including these Game-Boy-shaped thingies released in the late 90's I once owned that contained games based on Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong Jr., and this other contest-participant-exclusive Game & Watch thing that was shaped like Diskun.  Forsaking them wouldn't be right, this site is all about obscurity. |

The first batch are the Game & Watch Miniclassics, and they're not a high priority on my list of things to do, as they're licensed out by Nintendo for development by another company... who have now gone on to make new (or non-Nintendo) games in the same Miniclassics series. The Diskun SMB Game & Watch will return. I didn't forget him  And as for the peripherals page...... my GOD! How is that page still there! Wow... I'm gonna need to steal that old layout, as I didn't keep it myself |

So had I... I've been browsing it for ages... It's almost cute that one of the listed future releases is Super Mario Sunshine Still, the grey is here to stay... but I would like to start incorporating ideas I tried back in the old days and never fully realised. |

I guess the thing I'd like to see most is for Nintendo Database to become... ya know... an actual database. That'd make it alot easier for Fryguy to operate, so he'd have time to add alot more content and features to the site. It'd also probably make the site alot easier to dig around through too.

When the fateful day happens (read: never) that I finally tackle MySQL and learn to incorporate it into PHP, I'll give Fryguy a call.  I'd love to have a database for my site too. Damn all those talented people who refuse to render their services for free. |

I suspect that'll be the next site overhaul. One step at a time... first HTML, then includes, then style sheets, next... database. I'm not the fastest at picking these things up. And having a good site development tool like Dreamweaver would be helpful there. At the moment the whole thing is done in Textpad. |

How about a section in the franchise pages with a little information about any TV series or movies based on the games?
Nothing like episode guides or anything... they can be found elsewhere. But just a little something to show which shows have existed. Quite a few Nintendo games have had them.

A section on TV shows is possibly on the cards, but I can't say I'm particularly bothered. If anyone else fancies a crack at it I'd be happy to have the information up on NinDB... I just don't want to write it |

Idea: Pre-NES Nintendo made titles, such as the Donkey Kong games, etc for the Atari 2600, Intellivision, Colecovision, and all that old stuff.
