If I recall, it came out in Japan's Four Swords Adventures, but not in the US (or Europe...I think. Fryguy can probably answer that better than I can). I forgot the official reason, but I heard the game wasn't that impressive...

It was announced and released with the Japanese version of Four Swords Adventures... but the game relied on a speech feedback system that is easy to emulate in Japanese (all of the syllables sound the same) and nigh on impossible in English. So the game wasn't so much cancelled, as not very likely to come out in the US in the first place.
