Huh?
"Game Controller with Analog Pressure Sensor" "Remote Controller with Analog Button" Game Control with Analog Pressure Sensor" "3D Controller with Vibration" How can they register these? Sounds ridiclous.... It's just like registering "human" and sue everyone alive on this world.

How can they sue if these have been used for over 5 years at the least and if they own the pataints then why didn't they say something sooner?
Sounds like someone wants money to me.

The whole thing starts from Nintendo 64's controller (with the vibration thing, from 1997, and it's already 9 tears), and it just goes on... But I'm sure that Nintendo, being experienced about law courts with controller stuff, can be the winner.

Microsoft is being sued too. Makes no sense. The patent names are incredibly vague...

There was a feature about this in the last issue of Edge magazine - Patent Trolling. Companies that patent obvious ideas then wait for another company to invent it - then they sue!
But I don't think this is about the Wii remote - I think this is about the Gamecube and X-Box controllers.
It'll be interesting to see what happens here. When you're the biggest videogame publisher in the world with a world-renowned legal fighting force, and when you're the richest company in the world, it's a ballsy company that tries to patent troll you.

It OBVIOUSLY is about the more traditional GC and XBox controllers. Nintendo is known for not easily losing on the court, and MS will probably lose almost nothing (relatively) even if they lose. Although, MS is known for copying other's stuff... Did Anascape aim at the wrong targets?

They should sue Sony. Sony can't win a lawsuit for their lives, and they get involved in plenty of them.

You don't need to invent something in order to patent it. And everyone seems to be forgetting that Nintendo didn't put a vibration in the N64 controller... the Rumble Pak did that.
I don't understand why Sony has avoided this lawsuit.

Do you mean that another company has put the vibration into their controllers before Nintendo? No, but once some company sued Nintendo for their vibration thing.

What is Anascape? When I search for I just find these sites where it's info about the suing.
