Hey guys
I dont know if its my WI-FI or not but do any of you peeps experience and abnormal behaviour on when using it?
Especially Mario Kart. Im happy racing along and the opponent will keep teleporting over different sides of the screen. Most of the time they will fall off the edge of the screen and magically appear in front of you 1 second later, they also go incredibly fast...is this just game lag? Also hardly any of my items hit the opponent sneaky buggers.
On another note - Animal Crossing also has problems. Sometimes when my friends visit you see them, but when you go to interact with them they dissappear and reappear and flash alot.
Just wanted to see if you guys experienced any such problems when using WIFI DS

I've had the occasional issue when playing Worldwide games of Mario Kart DS - sounds just like you described it.
I wonder if I appear the same to them... Hmm...
But it might be a case of lag. I'm not entirely sure. Not a regular online gamer, me.
Still, I've never had problems with AC, MPH or Tetris. And most of my Mario Kart games are fine. Do you usually have a bunch of stuff running on your computer when you play?

It could be a lag problem that your opponents' data aren't transferring at a normal rate.
It's also possible that your opponents are using modified version of MKDS. Don't think that "hey, I don't think there are cheating devices for DS yet" - they're probably not using those - instead, they are sneaky and do pirated games. This way they can even invite you to play on impossible stages like Rainbow Road.

No i never usually have any other programs running while im playing WIFI (except MSN Messenger but thats always on anyway).
To be honest my computer isnt the fastest (and it is a laptop). But I've experienced similar problems at my friends house and he has got an incredibly high powered desktop.
Im thinking it might be just a general lagging problem with MK DS (by the way, why do you only race against 3 people when u cud race 7? Is that due to hardware constraints?

No. Computer speed ≠ Internet connection speed.
And in addition, nobody can ensure that your opponent won't cheat. Try playing Tetris DS, and occassionally you'll find people with only I tetriminos and/or can't be attacked.
And it IS because of hardware constraints. And for the exact same reason you can't do some tracks like Rainbow Road and Tick-Tock Clock. No. It's not that Nintendo WFC only supports 4 players - Pokémon Diamond / Pearl can be played via Nintendo WFC with 8 players.

The MKDS thing is snaking.
It makes you go so fast that it appears taht your teleporting.

You can play rainbow road - i usually win at that cuz im pretty good at the crazy corners and stuff.
Snaking is also one thing i hate about Maz DS - Its not that I cant snake myself, its that i think its unfair and starts to hurts your hand after a while. Even snakers cant defend against a blue shell!

Can you yourself invite people to play on Rainbow Road? I don't think it's possible. Those having Rainbow Road as the course should be cheaters, if my info is correct.
