I heard YL mention this in another thread: is there a way so I don't have to wait for it start up, tap, and tap again?

Yes, its in the options. Cjose the wwrench amd then the top button(the arrow going into the whole). Thats where you set it up at. (The buttons are pink. Just FYI)
If you have a DS game, it will always start that one first, if not it will start up the GBA game. So, if you want to go to the menu, you can't have anygame in the slots.

Not true. You can hold down Start while booting to go to the menu or B to boot a GBA game while a DS game is inserted.
