Well lookie here...
# Go to the Ranger Net Option on the Main Screen after turning the game on # Hold down the R Button, X and Left on the D-Pad # An option to enter the Password has appeared # Access that option in the Ranger Net # Enter the Password: P8M2-9D6F-43H7 # The new Mission; Rescue the Egg, should be under the special mission list.
Since I posted it first I now deserve a real Manaphy. Its only fair.
(actually I couldn't give a crap)

And Nintendo isn't MAKING you buy anything, you know B-but... I need to chatch 'em all! Wait... is it seriously possible for me to get Manaphy for someone with Pokemon Ranger online? That would be awesome. Pokemon Channel was $50AUD here... and that may be cheap compared to other gamecube games, but I would say it's actual worth was $20AUD. How do you get Jirachi from it though? And I want to get Pokemon Box. So I can get a free memory card and GBA-GCN link cable (for more gcn gamesaves and to trade my colloseum and channel pokemon) plus I get extra Pokemon gamesaves (I always was annoyed that Pokemon didn't have multiple files on offer...) and somewhere to store extra Pokemon. Good question. I'd assume you'd have to get far enough to access that particular mission, but with EB's 7 Day Return thingo it would probably work.
It also raises a secondary question - if you erased all your files on your cart, could you do it again and get a second Manaphy egg?

Of course, why not? It would be like allowing Pokemon Channel to give you only one Jirachi. Though it didn't let you get more than one per cart...

It was £19.99 here, where most games are £39.99. Pokémon Channel was only slightly more expensive than a DVD. I'm not sure if you can get Jirachi in your version, since last I heard it was available only in the European version. But if so, you just have to beat the game (I think that happens when you watch the final part of Pichu Bros. Party Panic) and Jirachi will appear the next day to play. Then you get the option to trade it to your Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald cart.

AU$50 is the equivalent of £19.99 it would seem - as full priced games are AU$100, ie it is half that price.
I'm fairly sure we get the exact same versions as the Europeans on home consoles (though I'm not sure if thats still the case with handhelds as we get things well before you... have you got WarioWare Twisted over there yet?). So I'm 99.9% sure we can get Jirachi.

Still, I'm glad I don't live over there... as nice as the place is, games costing three-digit numbers vaguely frightens me. Thank god I don't live in Japan!

20 pounds is $50. Why does UK still use pounds? Why doesn't it completely switch to Euros? $50US is about $70AUD. So it seems the US and most likely Japan get things cheaper.

If we started using Euros, a lot of things would end up being a lot more expensive. So I'm not too thrilled about the idea, personally.

Not all of them... Just a lot of the main ones. And from what I heard when I was in France, a lot of the people in those countries think it was a mistake.

We haven't switched to Euros because we don't need to yet. The Pound is still a very strong currency in its own right, and to abandon it for a currency that is, to all intents and purposes, as weak as the US Dollar has been for a while (the "Bush Dollar" if you like), would be a mentalist move.
Also, we're hideously stubborn about remaining independent. And just because many EU countries have signed up doesn't mean it's a good idea. Does make going on holiday a bit of an arse though.
We didn't receive WW: Twisted, Drill Dozer or the DS rumble pak. I have heard rumblings (arf) about an EU regulation that the rumble fails to meet. Which is a crying shame.
You get Jirachi in Channel by completing the game. It took me just under 2 hours of on-and-off play to get it.

We didn't get Drill Dozer? I'd heard it was being released back in November, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Shame, I was really looking foward to that game...

No, the magazines had reviews, everything was lined up for a release and then..... nothing.
Which is a shame, because I really love Drill Dozer (which I in no way play in any kind of illegal way, honest).
