Look guys, Super Mario Bros. 3 beat in 11 minutes and Mario 64 in 20 minutes. This reminds me: I bet a lot of people can beat Super Mario World in <=20 minutes. I know because I was a perfectionist and beat it in 18 minutes.
Oh, and you know one more thing: New Super Mario Bros. should be called Super Mario Bros. Reunion and the cape/Raccoon powerup should be in there.

Wasn't it confirmed that the SMB3 speedrun was done using an emulator, with save states and the like? It's still entertaining to watch, but the fact that it mostly took patience instead of skill does make it a little less impressive.

Most of these speed-runs are tool assisted. I still enjoy watching them. There's a Nazo no Murasamejou one on YouTube that gave me a nice runthrough of the game without having to beat it myself ;D
Because I suck at that game.
I have beaten Super Mario World in 14 minutes before. In fact, I also managed to open every exit in the game in a single run, but like a fool I didn't time myself. I was just trying to see if I could do it all in one go rather than attempting a speed run. I believe it took me around an hour and a half.
