Remember the Wii update? Guess what they added! Keyboard support! Now, it won't work with the Internet Channel, but it can work with virtually everything else. Now, we need some VC games that need a keyboard. I vote for Infocom games.

Oh that sounds like a cool idea. Too bad about the Internet Channel though. It's a pain having to use the wiimote to browse the net. Im guessing it would plug into the wiimote like the nunchuck? While we are talking about Wii accessories, have any of you guys seen the Zelda unofficial add-on?

I think it uses the USB slots on the back of the wii. I assume that at some point Nintendo will make it to where you need a special keyboard in order to make it work with the wii While we are talking about Wii accessories, have any of you guys seen the Zelda unofficial add-on? lol, now that looks like fun.

While we are talking about Wii accessories, have any of you guys seen the Zelda unofficial add-on? Looks tiresome, having to swing the sword all the time. Who am I kidding though. Nintendo needs more controller attachments.

I expect, if the keyboard is first party, there will be a free upgrade to the internet channel in the near future to allow for keyboard support. They can do that now ;D

I would guess it will be first party. Imagine if you could go online and talk to people on the keyboard while playing! That would be great. It would certainly make me buy it

now i know that females like to think they can multitask, but how exactly do you plan on playing AND typing at the same time? We need a headset. However keyboard support for the internet channel is also needed.

That's like using a controller and the Super Scope at the same time!
Has that been done? Yes?

Actually, the Dreamcast had a keyboard so you could play Phantasy Star Online and chat with other players. Mainly in the hub area, I imagine. I haven't played it myself.

Don't forget the brilliant Typing of the Dead. It was just like House of the Dead 2, but instead of shooting zombies with a lightgun, you defeated them by typing the words that appeared on them. The words and sentences were pretty weird which was pretty funny, especially alongside the cheesy dialogue and voice acting.
I would buy the hell out of an official keyboard by Nintendo. Probably one for my Wii and one for my PC (that is, if it will be a USB keyboard).

Yes, but I expect they will. It is a blatantly obvious flaw in the Wii internet channel that it takes 5 times as long to type as it does with a keyboard. I'm sure THEY know that, and the main reason they would release a first party keyboard would be to rectify that. After all, it's not like they're releasing a ton of typing heavy games for it at the moment... they're barely releasing games for it full-stop

Or it may have to do with WiiWare. But yes, the Keyboard will likely be made bluetooth, first party, and neat looking.
We have psychic powers! ;D That explains everything.
