I like the old banner with the SSBM characters better. It's more attractive as well as representative. You did the very best that you can. |

My only concern, as always, is that if I change the background to black it will end up looking too much like The Mushroom Kingdom. How about you try white? |

It's like looking at a grey cloud through a grey window in a grey room. I am not having an all-grey layout. That's like the ultimate in boring.  Whoops, I meant to say grey with black, like you have now. |

I'm not keen on white layouts - they seem sterile. The same would be true of straight black and grey... it needs a bit of colour in it - like some blue (which the current layout has).
What are everyone's opinions of fixed-width layouts? Most sites with nice layouts tend to adopt the central fixed-width table format, but I have always been keen to avoid it. I like the site being flexible, but that restricts what you can do with the title bar. But am I just being unnecessarily quirky in this?
The new layout does look better with a black background, so I might just have to grit my teeth and go with the primary shade. At least it would make the current title/subtitle colour scheme look better as well.

I tend to go with fixxed layouts. Flexable ones always look weird on high resolution moniters.

Updating this won't require me to update every page (again) you'll be glad to know. The footer is not complete yet, and I still have to play with the menu font colours so they're not all so... blue... but I want feedback on it all. Especially the new-look logo.
