Finally, some of those Japan exclusive games are heading for the Virtual Console in other territories. Australia's Classification Board has put up ratings for Super Mario Bros. 2 (Japan), Mario's Super Picross, and Sin and Punishment: Successor to Earth. Evil Avatar

Yep, I saw this last week! I'm so happy! ;D Thing is, all of these games need minimal localisation. I'm still hoping we will see more in the way of RPGs that were never released here. Especially for us Europeans who didn't get Earthbound or SMRPG. And maybe even some classic Fire Emblem action! It's excellent news. Especially SMB2j - maybe with the VC controller I will finally complete it

A US cartridge would never fit in a EU SNES.

Emulation is a big thing now... If you know what I mean... Course, you need to actually own the game if you don't want to get arrested (or whatever the internet police do). If you really want to follow the law, buy the US version of Mario RPG, or any game, and download the rom. Problem solved.

Well... of course I've PLAYED Super Mario RPG and Earthbound! But it's just not the same as playing on a TV. Hell, we didn't get a single Final Fantasy in Europe until FFVII either.

TV eye: Actually, according to the Nintendo website, it doesn't matter if you own the actual game, having the ROM is still illegal and not good. ^^; Which is a shame. But its not like they've been known to do anything about people personally owning games (just the ROM sites that allow downloads).
I'm really glad for the Sin and Punishment dealy. It looked awesome way back when, and it still looks good now. I thought it was the stupidest thing that they didn't release it, since it would have helped eradicate the 'childish Nintendo' image that's been plaguing them, at least for that platform. It looked like a decent idea and it would have had a solid fanbase. So I'm happy its finally coming out of Japan, at last. Better late than never, right?
