It's kinda disappointing to know that you have to actually resort to that in order to progress in the game. What did they have to change in the game that caused it to spaz out like this? It doesn't make any sense.
NoE, you fail. D:

I'm now in chapter four in the game... I ran into no problems at all in the second chapter. Is the bug not present in my copy of the game or did I somehow miss it?

I guess it's not in your copy... I don't think it's possible to avoid it unless you already know where the key is beforehand.
Or... are you playing in English? It might only exist in the English language setting.

So is Super Paper Mario worth getting? How is the gameplay and length?
I was thinking about getting it when I finally get paid. Seems like forever!

Kohta, to awnser your question, yes. Just keep in mind that while it is a platformer, it's still thjinks it's an RPG. So prepare for lots of text and levels that are prettyu much just puzzles (meaning onces it's solved there is no point to playing it again).
Also, you seem to get it if you enter ALL of the rooms, but you should be only entering two of them. The first one she tells you, and the second. The second room should have something you need.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's the first room which has what you need in it.

So is Super Paper Mario worth getting? How is the gameplay and length? I was thinking about getting it when I finally get paid. Seems like forever! If you enjoy Mario or Paper Mario games? Yes, I absolutely recommend it. The game has wonderful villains (I don't <3 Count Bleck for no reason), but the storyline is pretty standard for any Mario RPG ("Beat bosses and collect six/seven/eight Mystical Items that will help you beat the main boss!"). The music is fun and the gameplay is...different, using the traditional 2D Mario gameplay with a Paper Mario twist. The game isn't without its flaws, though; the first three and the final chapter are all great, but the fourth, fifth and seventh stages are just incredibly bland fetch quests (and the sixth chapter is a massive cop-out). And as Smashchu said, the game is text-heavy--that didn't really bother me, but it might if you just want to get on with your game.

The text thing can be bothersome at times. It sucks showing my friends the game only to have to go though the 30minute start up. Chaper 4 wasn't to bad though.

Nintendo have acknowledged the problem, and they'll apparently be offering replacement discs soon. Details here.
